Student answer (Band 5.0)

In this busy era, in many countries, most of the community preffer to go supermarket and buy the prepared food. It can cause the negative and positive effects on development.

On the one hand, we have some pros about this that when any country is underdevelopment and they try to enhance their economy, then it would be the considerable option for them because in every country we have a number of people who want to buy that kind of food and while we have many people who make these kinds of food. It can play crucial role in the development of any country and also enhance the earning opportiunities for many people. For example, if anyone who can not go outside for work can do this at home and can earn money atleast for their personal needs.

On the other hand, there might be cons for this also because many people are careful about their hygine and other things. So, it can be downside for those who are very worried about their immune systems and hygine because we don't know that how they prepared the food and how it is reached to the supermarkets. For instance, once I went to the supermarket to buy some food and after I bought that food I realized something was in that food and when I checked that it was bee in that food which was obviously an unhyginec thing for me.Furthermore, it also plays a vital role in thee development of country because if any country is selling unhyginec food they can have bad effects on their economy. So, it also contain negative effects sometimes.

In conclusion, I would say that we should consider both positive and negative effects and then try to do that things which can play a role in the development of country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You recognise that the issue can have both positive and negative effects, and you give relevant examples, including the possibility of earning income from home and your experience of finding a bee in purchased food. However, the task asks whether access to food produced around the world is positive or negative, while much of your discussion shifts to prepared food, local food production, and employment. Your conclusion says both effects should be considered but does not clearly state which overall view you support. The ideas are therefore only partly focused on the question and remain under-developed. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how international food availability affects consumers, producers, or choice, then state and support a clear overall position.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting contrasting sides, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from a country’s economy to consumer demand and then to home-based work without clearly connecting these points to imported food. The second paragraph also shifts from hygiene concerns to national economic effects. Some linking phrases, including “also” and “because,” are repetitive or do not make the relationship between ideas precise. Organise each paragraph around one central point and use clearer references and transitions to show how each example supports it.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “economy,” “earning opportunities,” “immune systems,” and “negative effects,” and you attempt more formal expressions such as “play a vital role.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument difficult to interpret. For instance, “prepared food” does not clearly express the task’s focus on food produced in different countries, while “underdevelopment” and “unhyginec” are inaccurate forms. Spelling errors such as “preffer,” “opportiunities,” and “hygine” are also noticeable. Build a more precise topic vocabulary for international food trade, consumer choice, food safety, and local producers, and check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional structures such as “if any country is selling…” and clauses beginning with “because.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages hard to follow. Examples include “most of the community preffer to go supermarket,” “It can play crucial role,” and “we don’t know that how they prepared the food.” These show problems with articles, verb forms, and sentence construction. There are also run-on or poorly punctuated sentences, particularly in the second body paragraph. Practise building accurate sentences with one main idea at a time, then add subordinate clauses while checking articles, verb tense, and punctuation.
