Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent days people in most of the countries are able to purchase food and other supplies produced all over the globe by a super market. This essay consider this approach as a positive developement as it enables more easiness and an exposure to a variety of food. Although it has some minus points, the positive outweighs them.
The avaliability of food products from different countries has created shopping a better experience for the people. The main reason is it has given a range of variety of a single product, people can now simply compare the quality and the prices of an item offered by brands all over the world and make a right decision. This has created more competition for the companies to work more on their product providing more benefits to the consumer. Another vital factor is that now people can explore different cultural food without even visiting there which saves bothe time and money. I personally can easily have my national dishes in meals while living in another country dua to the avaliability of food products in the super market.
Om the other hand people can face some problems such as, purchasing one product from a wide range of variety can be sometimes a cause of irritation and have a imapct on decision marking. Another reason can be the prices, some of the products are very expensive because of import duites and taxes so it is hardly accessible for the impoverished communities.
In conclusion, the avaliability of of food products from all over the world is very beneficial for the people as it provides more ease and exposure to different cultures but can sometimes create in issue in decision making. It is a positive development for a country.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide supermarket food a positive development, while acknowledging drawbacks. You address both sides with relevant points, including greater consumer choice and competition, access to familiar dishes abroad, and the cost of imported goods for poorer communities. This covers the task well, but the support is uneven: the point about choice and competition is explained more fully than the concern about decision-making, which is stated briefly without an example. The personal example adds relevance, though it could be linked more explicitly to cultural exposure. To strengthen the response, develop each main reason with a specific illustration and explain more precisely why the benefits outweigh the disadvantages.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting the benefits, a paragraph presenting drawbacks, and a conclusion that restates your view. The progression from choice and competition to cultural access is logical, and phrases such as “On the other hand” help signal the shift in argument. However, some connections feel mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “Another” and the list-like movement between points. The sentence beginning “The main reason is it has given…” also joins ideas unclearly, making the relationship between variety, comparison, and decision-making harder to follow. Use clearer topic sentences and vary linking methods; make sure each pronoun or reference clearly points to an idea already introduced.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “competition,” “consumer,” “cultural food,” “import duties and taxes,” and “impoverished communities.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both economic and cultural effects. However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision, as in “avaliability,” “developement,” “decision marking,” and “a range of variety.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “more easiness” and “explore different cultural food.” These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main argument, but they limit the accuracy and flexibility of your vocabulary. Build a bank of natural topic collocations and proofread spelling and word forms; for example, use “greater convenience,” “a wide range of products,” and “make a decision.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including a concession in “Although it has some minus points…” and a reason clause explaining how imported products affect prices. Most ideas remain understandable, but some grammatical errors recur and occasionally make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “This essay consider” has subject–verb disagreement, while “people can now simply compare…, and make a right decision” has an awkwardly formed clause and article use. In “purchasing one product… can be sometimes a cause of irritation and have a impact,” the structure does not maintain grammatical parallelism. Review agreement, articles, and sentence construction, and check that coordinated verbs share the same grammatical form. More accurate complex sentences would make your reasoning easier to follow.
