Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You state a clear overall view in the opening—“I think it is a positive development”—and you acknowledge a possible drawback: imported goods may prevent local products from leading sales. However, the response only minimally develops the question. The main supporting points about access to foreign produce and experiencing other countries’ technology are vague, and the explanation that buying products helps people “abond the enviroment” of other countries is difficult to understand. The conclusion repeats the position but does not resolve the contrast with the drawback. The response is also 33 words below the required minimum, leaving limited space to explain and support your ideas. Develop two relevant reasons with specific examples and explain why they outweigh the disadvantage.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a paragraph beginning “To begin with,” a contrasting paragraph introduced by “On the other hand,” and a conclusion. These markers help the reader identify the broad stages of your argument. However, progression within paragraphs is weak: several claims about products, technology, and familiarity are placed together without clear links or explanation. Phrases such as “As the result” and “Similarly” do not always show a precise relationship between the ideas that follow. The conclusion also introduces a broad claim about local products without clearly connecting it to the earlier discussion. Organise each body paragraph around one main point, then use clear references and linking phrases to show how each example supports it.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “foreign goods,” “produce,” “negative development,” and “sales,” and you try to express ideas about international products and local competition. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make meaning difficult to follow, for example “forgein,” “expericese,” “abond,” and “fimilar.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “the environment of other countries” does not clearly express what consumers learn or experience, while “newly product” is not a natural way to describe local goods. Aim for accurate topic-specific expressions and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help readers understand your reasons without having to infer your meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures with clauses, such as “when you go to the supermarket for buying the new items … you can also be familiar…”. This shows an effort to vary sentence forms, but the longer constructions are often faulty, and errors recur in basic sentence patterns. For example, “In many countries has the supermarket” lacks a clear subject and verb structure, while “there are several kind of product make in different countries” has problems with number and clause formation. Articles, agreement, and verb forms are also inconsistent. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise building accurate subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses, checking that each clause has a subject and a correctly formed verb.
