Student answer (Band 6.0)

In several countries, it is prevalent that consumers can purchase foods which are produced all over the world. In my opinion, this is a affirmative development as this results in providing the option of tasting diverse food culture to consumers along with the amenity of choosing the best produced food of other nations.

Globalisation brings foreign foods for customers in their own land. This improvement of the world opened the door of consuming unheard foreign made or grown foods. Individuals can comfortably access products of other countries from super market which enables people the chance to understand and have the taste of other nations food culture. For instance, Bangladeshi people can easily buy and consume Korean traditional kimchi from supershop which enables them access to korean traditional food culture and lets them taste different type of foods than their own.

Additionally, this development is providing the opprtunity to consume the best produced foods from all over the world. Customers can buy the best prduced food from super market regardless of the place they live. For example, an Indian citizen can buy Chinese oranges instead of their local grown one as China produces better oranges than India in terms of taste. This benefit ensures customers full authority to choose the best for themselves.

All things considered, by offering foods from all over the globe to consumers can enable them to taste diverse food culture as well as independence of selecting the superior option for themselves. Hence, I would say this is a positive development because of the definite benefits.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you consider worldwide food availability positive and give two relevant reasons—exposure to other food cultures and greater choice of products. The kimchi example helps illustrate the first point, while the oranges example supports the second. However, the ideas are not equally developed. The cultural example explains how consumers can experience unfamiliar food, but the claim that Chinese oranges are better than Indian ones is asserted rather than supported, and the comparison is quite narrow. Explain what makes the product superior or use a more carefully qualified example. This would make your support more convincing and develop the response more fully across the task’s requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and the conclusion restates your position. Linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “For instance,” and “All things considered” help readers follow the progression. This already gives the response a coherent arrangement. To make the flow more flexible and precise, avoid relying on formulaic transitions and strengthen links between claims and examples. For instance, the move from the general point about choosing the best food to the claim about Chinese oranges could be explained more explicitly. Some references, such as “This improvement” and “This benefit,” are broad; naming the specific benefit would make the connections clearer.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “globalisation,” “consumers,” “diverse food culture,” and “authority to choose.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and attempts at less common phrasing show ambition. However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “a affirmative development,” “the amenity of choosing,” and “best produced food.” Spelling slips in “opprtunity” and “prduced,” along with inconsistent capitalisation of “Korean,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural combinations such as “a positive development,” “the freedom to choose,” and “high-quality produce.” More precise vocabulary would help express your points without awkward phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses with “which,” “as,” and “because,” and the overall meaning remains clear. Some sentences are controlled, such as “Customers can buy the best prduced food from super market regardless of the place they live.” However, there are some grammatical errors in articles, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “a affirmative development” needs the correct article, while “All things considered, by offering foods … can enable them” lacks a clear grammatical subject. “Different type of foods” also needs plural agreement, and “other nations food culture” needs a possessive form. Review these patterns and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb; this will improve accuracy while preserving your complex structures.
