Student answer (Band 5.5)
The growing trend of people in many countries nowadays, consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food produced all over the world. In my opinion, this a positive development because it give access to all types of food which are related to different cultures and nations.
One of the main reasons why i consider this a positive development is that it can give differnt cultural taste of food which we have never tasted in our life through this we can acess the new lifestyle of food indusrty which can benefits us to follow healthy lifestyle. For example healthy non-veg pasta which is an french food and we are getting it in a near by supermarket, so we can follow a healthy lifestyle just by eating a tasty healthy food of differnt culture. Another important point is that acess the more types of ingrediant food which can leads to a happy tastebirds for us and our family or friend, which means that an individuals get acess to different cultures of ingrediants from different country which is nearby supermarket.
Furthermore, convenience is the other reason to support my view. This is particularly important because consumers can get access to any kind of food which is produced all over the world just by taking few steps in their supermarket. In addition, low-cost of produced food is also a implise a significant impact on consumer buying different cultural food.for instance, if consumers are getting food from different countries it will be so over costly beacuse it will include them travelling cost and many other cost which are included but at the same time if it is easy to get hands on them in a nearby supermarket, so then it will saves a lot of money.
In conclusion, I believe that consumers can go to supermarket and buy food produced all iver the world is a positive development because it is convinence,low-cost,it gives cultural taste and gives a chance to taste new ingredients from different countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear: you consider worldwide supermarket food a positive development, and you give relevant reasons involving cultural variety, convenience and cost. The examples of trying food from other cultures and avoiding travel expenses help connect your ideas to the question. However, several points are asserted rather than explained. For instance, the claim that imported food helps people “follow a healthy lifestyle” is not supported with a clear explanation, and the pasta example does not show why it is healthy. The discussion of ingredients and “happy tastebirds” is also difficult to interpret. Develop each reason with a precise explanation or example, and make sure the support directly demonstrates the benefit you claim.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion, and signposts such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” show the intended progression. The main reasons are grouped into paragraphs, which gives the reader some overall organisation. However, connections within sentences are often unclear, and several ideas run together, as in the long sentence beginning “One of the main reasons…” The second body paragraph also shifts from convenience to cost without a clear transition, while repeated references to access and cultural food make the progression feel circular. Use shorter, more controlled sentences, link each example explicitly to its reason, and organise each paragraph around one main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “cultural,” “ingredients,” “convenience” and “produced all over the world.” This gives you some means of expressing the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning difficult to follow. Phrases such as “happy tastebirds,” “healthy non-veg pasta,” and “low-cost of produced food” are unclear or unnatural; repeated use of “access” also reduces variety. Spelling errors, including “differnt,” “acess” and “convinence,” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Build a bank of accurate topic phrases and check spelling and word forms, especially when using less familiar vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use clauses to explain reasons, including “because it will include them travelling cost…” However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to understand. The opening is a sentence fragment, and “this a positive development because it give access” lacks correct verb forms and sentence structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement and plurals, as in “an individuals get access,” as well as missing spaces after full stops. Aim first for accurate simple sentences, then add subordinate clauses carefully. Check that every sentence has a subject and verb, and review agreement, articles and punctuation.
