Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the current age, supermarkets play a vital role in developing shoping facilities. While it is firmly beleived that with the help supermarket shoping has become very easy, customers can purchase meal produce all over the globe through it. Although supermarkets assist the consumers to buy foregion products, it helps them to taste the food of other countries. As far as I conserned, it is a positive development.
To commence with, befor the people had to move to other countries to taste ther traditional foods. To explain it, the are lot of individuals who wants to taste the meal of other countries for this purpose they have to travel these countries. For example, some food vlogers travel to other countries to taste the cultural food of these countries, and they reveal its taste to their followers. Thus, it have reduce the distance, which was for the sake to taste food produce all over the world.
On the other hand, it also helps the poeple who have migrated to other countries and the want to eat their traditional food. However, citizens have to spend a significant amount of money to buy it but it help them to enjoy their culturel flavour. For instance, the people can buy their national food through lot of supermarkets. Therefore, it helps them to purchase their trditional meal.
In a nutshell, there are considerable positive impacts of supermarkets, which can overcome its drawbacks, and it have facilitated the people to flavour international meal in their closer market. So I argued that is a positive development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you consider international food availability a positive development, and both body paragraphs give relevant reasons. You explain that consumers can try other countries’ food without travelling and that migrants can access familiar traditional meals. The examples about food vloggers and people buying national foods help illustrate these points. However, the discussion is not fully developed: the first paragraph focuses on travel rather than explaining broader benefits, and the second acknowledges higher prices without exploring this drawback or weighing it against the benefits. To strengthen the response, explain the consequences of each point more precisely and support the examples with specific details. Your conclusion restates your view, but its claim that benefits overcome drawbacks would be more convincing if the drawbacks had been discussed in the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate benefits, and a concluding paragraph. Sequencing phrases such as “To commence with,” “On the other hand,” and “In a nutshell” make the stages easy to identify. However, the second body paragraph is not really a contrasting point: it adds another benefit, so “On the other hand” creates an inaccurate relationship. Some links are also mechanical, and references such as “it” in “it helps them” are not always immediately clear. Within paragraphs, ideas sometimes repeat rather than progress—for example, the final sentences restate that people can buy or taste traditional food. Use more precise transitions and develop each reason through a clear explanation and result.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “traditional foods,” “migrated,” “cultural food,” and “significant amount of money.” These expressions help communicate the main ideas, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors reduce accuracy. Examples include “shoping,” “beleived,” “foregion,” “conserned,” and “trditional.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “meal produce” and “flavour international meal.” Aim to learn topic-specific collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, “international food products” is more natural than “meal produce,” while “sample cuisines from around the world” expresses the tasting idea clearly. More precise vocabulary would make the argument easier to follow and less repetitive.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a concession in “Although supermarkets assist the consumers…” and a relative clause in “which was for the sake to taste food…”. The overall meaning is generally recoverable, but some sentence structures and verb forms are inaccurate. For example, “there are lot of individuals who wants” needs plural agreement and an article, while “it have reduce” has an incorrect auxiliary and verb form. The opening sentence beginning “While it is firmly believed…” is also awkwardly constructed, and the final sentence, “So I argued that is a positive development,” lacks a clear subject and uses an unsuitable tense. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, checking agreement, articles, and verb forms.
