Student answer (Band 5.5)
Most of the super markets now a days are selling the products that are produced from different parts of the world, in my view its a positive development. Lately many countries are importing various types of goods and food items, which does not grow in there countries from the other nations and also exporting the food and goods to the other nations. For example India is the largest rice exporter for the westren countries and India imports the luxary goods and other edible items from various countries and then they sell it in India so that indians can experience the food. By selling the indian goods to other neighbouring countries, India will gain some profits and it will use for development in the country.Further more countries like Britan likes to import the spices from india and export thier chocolates and other exclusive items that are grown and produced in Uk. This will be a mutual benifit for countries to improve their infrastracture. Trading food productes are like getting to know about their culture like most of countries from south east Asia uses chopsticks to eat food but westren countries uses spoon to eat this shows the cultural diversity all over the world. For instance an international student is studying in Europe misses his home food, when he see his favorute food in the supermarket he enjoyes his day and feel like home. People love to try and experience various types foods and bevarages from all over the worlds and they try to import it. In conclusion if an consumer is able to buy a food produced from diiferent part of worls it is a positive development

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the opening: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development, and the conclusion restates this view. You give relevant reasons, including trade benefits, access to foods from other cultures, and the comfort an international student may feel on finding familiar food. These examples address the question, but some points are less fully explained. For instance, the India and Britain trade examples focus partly on general goods and economic development, so the link to consumers buying food from around the world could be made more explicit. The cultural-diversity point also shifts to eating utensils rather than explaining the value of food variety. Develop each reason with a clearer explanation of how it benefits consumers or countries, and support the examples more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has an identifiable overall sequence: it states your view, gives examples and reasons, and ends with a conclusion. However, most of the discussion is presented as one long paragraph, so the reader has little visual guidance between the economic, cultural and personal benefits. Connections between ideas are sometimes abrupt; for example, the discussion moves from trade profits to chopsticks and spoons, then to an international student. Linking phrases such as “Another benefit is…” could make these shifts clearer, while separate paragraphs would help group related points. You use connectors including “For example,” “Furthermore” and “In conclusion,” but some transitions feel mechanical or do not establish the precise relationship between the ideas. Aim for a clearer progression from one main reason to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “importing,” “exporting,” “cultural diversity,” “mutual benefit” and “infrastructure,” which helps communicate your main ideas. There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “exclusive items” and “edible items.” However, spelling errors are noticeable, including “westren,” “luxary,” “benifit” and “infrastracture,” and some word choices or collocations are imprecise. “Trading food productes” is awkward, and “food and goods” is repeated rather than varied. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding the overall argument, but they limit precision and fluency. Check spelling carefully and choose natural phrases such as “food products” or “a wider range of international foods.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence beginning “For example” and a clause introduced by “when.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors in sentence boundaries, agreement, articles and verb forms recur. For example, “which does not grow in there countries” has an unclear plural reference and incorrect possessive form, while “when he see his favorute food … he enjoyes his day” contains agreement errors. The opening also joins several ideas with commas, making the sentence difficult to control. Use full stops to separate complete ideas, and check subject–verb agreement and articles when revising. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentences easier to follow.
