In many countries nowadays, consumers can go to a supermarket and buy food produced all over the world.

Student answer (Band 6.0)
In many countries, development had reached heights such that supermarkets have emerged as the one stop store where consumers are exposed to all kinds of food products across the world, and these foreign foods are consumed and sold in almost every cities and towns.
In previous years, access to foreign food products for middle class consumers were extremely expensive and beyond the scope of purchase, the same consumers can now savour those delicacies at reasonable price due to development in supermarkets and import - export sectors. Supermarkets have also introduced, not just food products, but equipments, everyday essentials, clothings, stationaries, Furnitures, etc.
On the other hand, access to these foreign products have their own harms, such as food products from different countries are designed based on their perticular climate, religion, habitat, ecosystem, and other factors, which might feel delicious to foreign consumers at first, but can trigger health issues like digestive issues, alcers or allergic reaction. Importing Food products from across the world may also result in increased prices due to import duties and charges.
In my opinion, supermarkets selling food products across the globe is negative development as it not only increases the trade between countries, but it might not be suitable for the consumers as well due to their ingredients and regionality. For example, there was this incident I came across in my town, where a teen bought some korean ramen thinking they were regular instant noodles, but upon cooking them, they turn out to be level-3 Spicy containing gochujang chillies, and the teen was Rushed to hospital and was later diagnosed with alcer.
In conclusion, access to all kinds of food Products around the world at nearbly Supermarket can not be considered as positive development as these products are not compatible with the consumers Due to their speciality and are a risk to physical and digestive health of the consumer.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address the question directly and maintain a clear negative position, especially in the final two paragraphs. The discussion gives relevant reasons: imported foods may be unsuitable for some consumers, and import costs may raise prices. The ramen anecdote also provides a concrete example. However, the positive side is only briefly described as improved access to affordable delicacies, while the claim that foreign foods can cause ulcers or other health problems is not sufficiently explained or supported. The point about supermarkets selling clothing and furniture is also not closely connected to the question. Develop the main reasons more fully and make the example support a carefully explained argument about food availability, rather than relying on a broad health claim.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, contrasting discussion, a stated opinion with an example, and a conclusion. Paragraphing helps the reader follow the shift from benefits to drawbacks, and phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In my opinion” make the direction of the argument clear. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent overall arrangement and shows some stronger progression. However, connections between ideas are occasionally mechanical, and the first body paragraph moves from affordable food to unrelated supermarket goods. The conclusion largely repeats the position rather than synthesising the reasons. Keep each paragraph focused on one central point and use clearer links between the claim, explanation, and example.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for the topic, including “delicacies,” “import duties,” “ecosystem,” and “digestive issues.” These choices show an attempt to use more specific vocabulary, and the main meaning is generally clear. Some less common expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, however: “one stop store,” “regionality,” and “nearby Supermarket” do not express the intended ideas precisely. There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “perticular,” “alc ers” (written as “alcers”), “clothings,” and “stationaries.” Choose familiar, accurate collocations over ambitious wording when unsure, and check spelling and plural forms carefully. More precise terms for suitability and health risks would make the argument clearer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “foods … which might feel delicious” and a longer sentence explaining the ramen incident. The overall meaning remains understandable, but some errors in agreement, tense, articles, and sentence construction reduce accuracy. For example, “access … were extremely expensive” has a singular subject, while “these foreign products have their own harms” uses mismatched agreement. The opening sentence also shifts awkwardly from “development had reached” to “consumers are exposed.” Review subject–verb agreement and keep tense choices consistent. Breaking up the long sentence about the incident would also help you control punctuation and make the sequence of events easier to follow.
