Student answer (Band 6.5)

Around the world, customers buy different food which is produced across the world. It is a positive development because it provides easy access to a variety of healthy food products in different seasons.

The primary benefit of this trend is that it allows consumers to access a wide variety of food. Different individuals have unique dietary preferences and choose diet on their own way; for example, some prefer vegetables while others favor meat. Having access to worldwide food options ensures that people can easily select and obtain their desired products based on personal taste.

Furthermore, different types of food are grown in different seasons, meaning that consumers cannot access certain items if they are not imported from other countries. Because of global trade, individuals can obtain healthy and nutritious food throughout the entire year, even if those specific crops are not grown in their homeland. This ensures that a wholesome diet is easily accessible to shoppers regardless of the local weather or season. For example, In Pakistan tomatoes are usually harvest in mid-winter only then we rely on different countries like Afghanistan, and we transport it from that country. For instance, doctor prescribed a healthy diet full of proteins for patient, if the food is available in stores can easy get that healthy diet.

In conclusion, the presence of worldwide food items in supermarkets is a highly positive trend for consumers. This phenomenon not only provides individuals with constant access to fresh and healthy produce across all seasons but also successfully caters to a diverse range of dietary preferences.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction and conclusion: you consider worldwide food availability positive. You give relevant reasons, especially greater choice for different preferences and access to produce outside its local growing season, and the Pakistan tomato example helps make the seasonal point concrete. This meets the task well, but the two reasons are not developed equally. The point about dietary preferences is explained mainly through a simple contrast between vegetables and meat, while the final example about a doctor-prescribed diet is difficult to follow and does not clearly show how international availability helps the patient. Explain the practical benefit of each example more fully to make the support consistently convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present benefits, and the conclusion restates the position. The progression from choice to year-round availability is logical, and phrases such as “Furthermore” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. However, cohesion is not always smooth. The second body paragraph shifts from the Pakistan tomato example to a separate patient example, introduced by “For instance,” which makes the relationship between the examples unclear. Some references, such as “those specific crops,” require the reader to infer what is meant. Connect examples explicitly to the point they support and avoid adding a second example unless its relevance is clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “dietary preferences,” “nutritious,” “global trade,” and “produce,” and the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “a wholesome diet” and “across all seasons.” However, some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive: “choose diet on their own way,” “tomatoes are usually harvest,” and “we transport it from that country” do not sound natural. “Food” and “healthy” also recur frequently. Build precision by learning common combinations such as “follow a diet,” “harvested in winter,” and “import produce,” and vary repeated terms where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex forms, including a relative clause in “food which is produced” and a conditional clause beginning “even if.” Most sentences communicate the intended meaning, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “some prefer vegetables while others favor meat” is well controlled, whereas “tomatoes are usually harvest” has an incorrect verb form, and “if the food is available in stores can easy get” is missing a clear subject and has a faulty clause structure. There are also issues with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “doctor prescribed a healthy diet” and the comma after “For example.” Check that each clause has a subject and finite verb, and review verb forms and article use.
