Student answer (Band 5.5)

In Todays World , In many nations customers can go to a supermarket and Purchase food which is produced over the world.

From where i stand i believe that the Food Market in world is currently evolving faster which is a positive sign to understand other nation Food Culture, lots of people over world travelling to different countries and getting the ideas by trying there local food here i would like to present a real life based example where few foreigners from USA visted Delhi and tried famous Chaat and right now they started there own Delhi chaat center in Florida ,USA which helps the people who migrated in america from delhi to get same taste and attached with indian food. Many people started franchises from india in collabration with native citizen of usa and earning good.

But this development brings few drawbacks like the costing for same food is 3x higher then its origin nation.apart from that taste difference there . Here once i visited the samosa center in Abu dhabi also its same franchise which we have in vadodara but those samosa price cost me higher in comapare with its orgin place. and the tax on food is also higher so basically such con's overweigh its pro's.

Here in my opinion i would like to Conclude and clearly state that producing the food all over the other nation is not bad thing but we should have to maintain its authenticity also the taste is most important factor like the big giants brand like MC donalds, Burgerking and Dominos they have maintain there same taste for each product that's reason only there are more succesfull.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You give a clear overall view that international food availability is positive, while acknowledging drawbacks such as higher prices and differences in taste. The examples of visitors taking Delhi chaat to Florida and your samosa experience in Abu Dhabi make the response relevant to the topic. However, the position becomes less consistent in the paragraph on drawbacks, where you say the disadvantages “overweigh” the advantages, before concluding that the development is “not bad.” This leaves the final judgement unclear. Some points, especially the claim about higher taxes and the effect of international food access, are asserted rather than explained. Make your positive or negative position consistent throughout and develop each main reason with a clearer explanation.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has an overall sequence: it introduces the topic, presents benefits, considers drawbacks, and ends with a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “But this development brings few drawbacks” and “Here in my opinion” help signal these stages. However, the ideas are packed into long paragraphs, and the first body paragraph moves quickly from food culture to travel, a business example, and franchises without clearly showing how each point connects. The contrast between “overweigh its pro’s” and the final positive-sounding conclusion also weakens progression. Use distinct paragraphs for the introduction, each main argument, and conclusion, and make references such as “there” and “its” unambiguous. More precise links between claims and examples would make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “food culture,” “franchises,” “authenticity,” and “migrated,” and the examples help communicate your meaning. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “collaboration with native citizen” and “maintain its authenticity,” though some combinations are inaccurate or awkward. Repeated general words such as “food,” “people,” and “same” limit the range, while spelling and word-form errors—including “visted,” “comapare,” and “succesfull”—are noticeable and sometimes slow the reader. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, describe prices as “three times higher” or “three times as high,” and use “local residents” rather than “native citizen” in this context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “But this development brings few drawbacks like the costing for same food is 3x higher then its origin nation.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and several run-on constructions make relationships between ideas unclear. There are frequent problems with sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and verb forms: “they started there own” and “they have maintain” are examples. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, including the opening sentence’s comma spacing and the lack of clear sentence breaks in the first body paragraph. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas using accurate conjunctions and relative clauses. Proofread for tense, articles, and subject–verb agreement.
