Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you consider worldwide access to food a positive development, while acknowledging environmental and affordability concerns. You address relevant benefits, including greater choice, economic opportunities and cultural awareness, and the example of imported food in India helps illustrate access to products. However, some points are not fully explained: the reference to seasonal produce does not clearly show why year-round availability is beneficial, and the claim that 38% of Indian businesses export food is not explained or connected convincingly to the argument. Develop each main reason with a clear explanation and a specific, credible example, and make the link between your supporting details and your overall position more explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion that restates your view. Transitions such as “Furthermore,” “However,” and “In conclusion” help signal the direction of the argument. At times, though, linking feels mechanical, and some connections between sentences are unclear. For example, “To commence with, the former view of the passage is” does not clearly introduce the first reason, while the sentence beginning “Furthermore, if government export…” combines several effects without showing their relationship. Use simpler topic sentences and organise each paragraph around one main idea, followed by explanation and an example. Check that pronouns and references clearly identify what they refer to.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “seasonal fruits and vegetables,” “environmental pollution,” “economic opportunities,” and “cultural awareness.” These choices show an effort to discuss both practical and wider effects. However, spelling errors and inaccurate or repetitive word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less clear, as in “easilly,” “economical status,” and repeated uses of “food products” and “different type.” Some phrases also do not collocate naturally, such as “enhances people eating experience.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing precise combinations, for example “improve consumers’ dining experience” or “strengthen trade relations.” Vary repeated general terms with specific references to imported produce, local food, or international cuisine.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple statements and attempts at more complex structures, including a conditional idea beginning “if government export food…” and a concession in the conclusion. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, sentence boundaries and punctuation occur across the response. Examples include “this development have become increased,” “people mainlt visit,” and the fragment “and it also strenghth the bond betwen countries.” Several sentences join independent ideas with full stops or commas in ways that interrupt the flow. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and tense before adding complexity. For instance, revise the conditional as “If a government exports food to another country, it can create economic opportunities.”
