Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, people can get their desired food from the near supermarket. Even if that food does not belong to the country they are living in. In my opinion, it is a very positive development. I will give further details in the upcoming topics.

The world is so much developed that we can do different thing that our ancestor just used to think about. The world is massive. There are 192 countries and every country have different eating styles schedule and have different types of foods. Foe example Pakistan is famous for its delicious, spicy dishes. While our neighbor India has other types of famous dishes.

It is due to different weather conditions of different continents. For example in many countries it rain a lot while in other its rain only a little time period in a whole year and some countries have very harsh temperature. In the older times people have to face a lot of difficulties while traveling because hey can not find food for them. Muslims have to face a lot of difficulties , the main reason of the circumstance is that Muslim need halal food and other Hindu or Chiristians does not have halal food.

So it is great innovation because every can find suitable food for them. I have my own experience. i used to stay abroad and i was alone Muslim there in my whole area. But it does not effect me at all because there are supermarket near by where all type of Pakistani food is available. I face no difficulty living there. Nowadays people like to try different foods for example i have seen so many biryani shops in Italy and Italian people are eating it and admiring the food.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider access to international food a positive development, and the response stays relevant to that view. You support it with several pertinent points, including access to food that meets religious needs and your experience finding Pakistani food while living abroad. The example of Italian people enjoying biryani also helps show cultural exchange. However, some ideas are less fully explained: the discussion of weather and travel difficulties does not clearly show how supermarkets overcome these problems, and the comparison between countries’ cuisines is mostly illustrative rather than analytical. Develop each main reason with a clearer explanation of its wider benefit, and make the conclusion explicitly reinforce your overall judgement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from your opinion to reasons and then to personal examples. Paragraphing generally separates the main points, and phrases such as “For example” help signal illustrations. However, progression between ideas is sometimes abrupt. The opening promises “further details in the upcoming topics,” which sounds formulaic, while the shift from national cuisines to weather and then religious food needs a clearer link. Some sentences are fragments, such as “Even if that food does not belong to the country they are living in,” and the final paragraph combines several points without a clear closing statement. Use topic sentences to establish each paragraph’s focus and connect examples explicitly to the argument.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary to discuss the topic, including “weather conditions,” “halal food,” “supermarket,” and “admiring,” and the examples make your meaning generally understandable. There are also attempts to use more specific terms, such as “spicy dishes” and “different continents.” However, word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and sometimes make the phrasing awkward: “desired food,” “eating styles schedule,” and “all type of Pakistani food” are not natural expressions in context. Errors such as “Foe,” “Chiristians,” and “near by” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise range for discussing availability, cultural exchange, and dietary requirements, and check spelling and common collocations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including clauses beginning with “Even if” and “because,” and the main argument can usually be followed. However, control is inconsistent, with errors in agreement, tense, articles, and sentence boundaries. For example, “every country have” should use a singular verb, while “in other its rain” lacks a clear grammatical subject and correct verb form. The opening “Even if that food does not belong…” is a dependent clause presented as a sentence, and “I used to stay abroad” shifts awkwardly into the past before “there are supermarket.” Work on complete sentence construction and consistent tense, then proofread for subject–verb agreement and article use. These changes would make your ideas easier to read.
