Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent decades, consumers from many countries can get food products that produced all over the world by just simply going to a supermarket. I think this is positive development because it increases the varieties of food and boosts their economic development.
One of the main reasons why this is positive is the increasing varieties of food. There are many people who are fond of trying different types of food that made not only their own country but also from other countries. Getting all the food items in their supermarket help them to satisfy their needs. Moreover, having similar types of food can create boreness. They become less interested in those food products that they are having for a very long time. Thus, when they get food from other countries, it allows them to change their taste bud and enjoy different products at a time.
The another significant benefit of this development is it helps many countries to grow economically. In the past, people have to go through many processes such as making online order or checking timelines of delivery for importing any food produts. But now it has become very convenient. Consumers just need to go their nearby supermarkets and they get all the pruducts they want. As it reduces the struggle of people, more people tend to buy food items and contribute to their economic development.
In my opinion, getting food that produced all over the world is definitely a positive development due to it's convenience in reducing struggle and contributing to economic development.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability positive, mainly because it offers more variety and supports economic development. Both reasons are relevant, and the paragraph about trying foods from other countries explains how consumers may enjoy a change from familiar products. However, the economic argument is less fully developed: the discussion focuses on easier shopping and increased purchases, but does not clearly explain how this benefits countries’ economies or provide a specific example. Some points, such as people becoming bored with familiar food, are asserted rather than supported. To strengthen the response, explain the effects of international food trade more precisely and develop each main reason with a concrete example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and the conclusion restates your position. Signposting such as “One of the main reasons” and “The another significant benefit” helps readers follow the structure. Within paragraphs, however, some links are mechanical, and the progression from easier access to economic development is not fully explained. References such as “they” and “those food products” are understandable but occasionally broad, so the reader must infer exactly who or what is meant. Improve cohesion by connecting each example explicitly to its main claim and varying transitions rather than relying mainly on formulaic openings.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “consumers,” “food items,” “importing,” and “economic development.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “satisfy their needs” and “contribute to their economic development.” However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems reduce precision: “increasing varieties” is awkward, “change their taste bud” is not a natural expression, and “boreness,” “produts,” and “pruducts” are misspelled. “Food products” and “food items” are also repeated frequently. Build a more accurate range by learning natural collocations for variety, consumer choice, and international trade, and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “food that made not only their own country” and a conditional-style explanation beginning “As it reduces the struggle of people.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but errors in verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “food products that produced” needs a passive verb form, while “There are many people who are fond of trying different types of food that made…” contains an incomplete or unclear clause. Other examples include “The another significant benefit” and “Consumers just need to go their nearby supermarkets.” Practise accurate passive constructions, article use, and complete clause patterns, then check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
