Student answer (Band 6.0)

In many parts of the world, now residents visit there supermarts and get required food which has been made in various nations all over the earth. From my perspective it is positive development because it works well in culture exchange, helps in country economy and making strong relationship between nations. I will discuss the reasons in this essay.

There are several reasons which contributes in this positive development one of them is culture exchange. When different people from various nationalities come together they usually discuss their culture and mentioning that there country food is serving in here. For an example In Canda most of supermarkets contain different nation food country name is mentioned on that packaging. So knowing other countries food will teach aboout that nation culture.

Moreover, it is very beneficial for country economy. Because if one country has produced more food than the need so exporting them will be make the country financially stable. For an example Pakistan is very famous for exporting Mangoes, therefore it really workedout for this country in economic sector and global recognition.

Lastly, most countries facing an issues when people needs in increasing and food supply is decreasing, helping them is these kind of situations will decrease the distance between these nations. For an example Palestine now facing food sacarcity every country now showing there bond with them and supplying food. Consequently, it will strong the bond between them.

In conclusion, nowadays seeing foods fron different nations is the positive development towards exchanging culture, supporting other countries and to be advantageous.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability positive, and the conclusion restates this view. You also give three relevant reasons—cultural exchange, economic benefits through exports, and support between countries—and illustrate them with examples such as Canadian supermarkets, Pakistani mangoes, and food aid to Palestine. This covers the task and gives the reader a clear basis for your opinion. However, the reasons are not equally developed: the cultural-exchange point is explained briefly, while the final example shifts from buying internationally produced food to emergency aid. To strengthen the response, explain more directly how ordinary supermarket imports create the benefits you identify, and develop each example with a clearer link to your argument.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure, with an introduction, three body paragraphs organised around separate reasons, and a conclusion. Sequencing expressions such as “Moreover” and “Lastly” help signal the progression, and the central position remains easy to follow. This gives the response coherent organisation. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “For an example” is repeated, and the link between food imports and the discussion of Palestine’s food shortage is not fully established. There are also unclear references, such as “there country food” and “this country,” which make the reader pause. Use a wider range of linking methods and make pronoun references explicit; ensure each paragraph’s example directly supports its main point.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “culture exchange,” “exporting,” “financially stable,” “food supply,” and “global recognition.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and you attempt some topic-specific language rather than relying entirely on basic words. However, inaccurate word choice, collocation, and spelling are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “supermarts,” “food sacarcity,” “workedout,” and “it will strong the bond” are examples. Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “seeing foods from different nations.” Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling and word forms. For instance, use “cultural exchange,” “food produced abroad,” and “strengthen ties” to express your ideas more naturally and precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional idea in “if one country has produced more food than the need” and a reason clause beginning “because.” This shows some range, and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control is inconsistent: agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries cause problems. Examples include “There are several reasons which contributes,” “it will be make,” and the fragment “Because if one country…”. The opening sentence also has an unclear construction, while “most countries facing” lacks a finite verb. Practise building accurate clauses before adding complexity, and check that each sentence has a subject and correctly formed verb. More reliable control of these patterns would make your argument easier to read.
