Student answer (Band 6.0)
In recent years, buying imported things are common practice around the globe. Consumers wants to buy new things or the same things with better quality. Supermarkets provides different kind of food from local source and also imported one at the same spot. I strongly believe that the buying food from a store that is produced all over the globe is positive development. This is benefical for the people in terms of availability of the products that is seasonal and radily available in the off season. Another benefits of providing global food items in shops is that the more items available are the more price will go down.
Exporting food items produced all around the world provides a facility to consumers in terms of continues availability through out the year. In every country, there are different season and in each season they can cultivate only sesonal items. These items are availabe only in that season and after that nothing will be in shops to buy. Subsequently, once local products consumed they exported similar food from other countries for their customers. This is resulted that there are no more shortage of anything. This will helps the people to find the required food items.
Additionally, the more items available for sale the more prices go down. This will help to make balance in between local and foreign products prices. If foreign items are not available, the rates of local food will also shoot up dramatically. The reason behind this is the storage. When some food items quantity went down, the sellers in market holds the items instead of supplying to the shops. This will resulted in the sharp movement of rates. Nowadays, exporting such items from all around the world is easily accessable, so this will force the locals to not hold anything longer. If they hold the foreign products will take over.
Overall, it is very important for the countries to export food items for their peoples because it will help to provide the similar items in the off season. On the other hand, we cam also experience less fluctuation in prices because of exported products are easily available in the market. Locals can not manupulates the markets and fluctuate the prices.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
Your position is clear from the introduction: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development. You address the question with two relevant reasons—year-round access to seasonal foods and competition helping to restrain prices—and explain each in a separate body paragraph. The examples about importing foods after local supplies run out and sellers withholding stock give the argument some support. However, the price argument is less fully established: the link between imported products, local sellers’ behaviour and lower prices is asserted rather than clearly demonstrated. The conclusion restates your view but adds little synthesis. To strengthen the response, explain the price mechanism more precisely and develop the consequences of each benefit with a specific example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The essay has a clear overall structure, moving from your position to two supporting points and then a conclusion. Paragraphing helps distinguish the arguments, and signposts such as “Additionally” and “Overall” make the progression easy to follow. This gives the response a coherent arrangement. Some connections, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “This is resulted that there are no more shortage of anything” does not clearly show how importing prevents shortages, while “If they hold the foreign products will take over” leaves the reference and relationship between ideas uncertain. The conclusion also repeats points from the body rather than bringing them together. Use clearer cause-and-effect links and more precise referencing to make cohesion smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your main ideas, including “imported,” “seasonal,” “availability,” “shortage,” and “fluctuation in prices.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions such as “shoot up dramatically” and “sharp movement of rates.” However, inaccurate word forms, spelling and collocations are noticeable and sometimes make the meaning less natural: “benefical,” “radily,” “sesonal,” “accessable,” and “manupulates” are misspelled, while “export food items for their peoples” and “the more prices go down” are awkward. Some wording is also repetitive, particularly “items” and “products.” Build accuracy by checking spelling and choosing natural collocations, and vary repeated nouns with precise terms such as “produce,” “goods” or “food supplies.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including conditional and cause-and-effect structures, as in “If foreign items are not available…” and “When some food items quantity went down…”. This shows an effort to explain relationships between ideas. However, grammatical control is limited: errors occur frequently in agreement, verb forms, articles and sentence construction. Examples include “buying imported things are,” “Consumers wants,” “Supermarkets provides,” and “This will helps.” The sentence “This is resulted that there are no more shortage” also has faulty structure and agreement. These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret the intended meaning. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and verb patterns first, then check each complex sentence for a clear main clause and correct tense.
