Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern globe, the proliferation of exported foods are gaining traction of general consumers. They can buy whatever they want produced by overseas countries. While there are some drawbacks such as it will decrease the popularity of locally produced food, i firmly agree that it is a positive development because of the potential benefits. In this essay i will examine all of the perspectives and reach a conclusion.

On one hand of the spectrum are of the belief that those shift towards foods which are produced in an another country that will affect the local market. If the exported food commodity become popular among the individuals, the native food habits become obliterated. Furthermore, the producer of local grain will be in loss.

On the other hand, if the consumers have the opportunity to have the food which can not get in their country is a positive development. In addition, the syndicate with the raw materials of food will be finished if all kinds of food products can get easily. Also it fosters people to adopt a balance diet. For instance, fruits like dragon, avocado and apple are very rare because yealding of such fruits are not much pervasive in Bangladesh, so if the authority exports those fruits from foreign country it will fulfill the demand of the consumers. Easy access to international foods aften benefit the general people.

In conclusion, although those type of consumerism switches engender some downside, the dynamic positive side it awards to people have a definitive effects on the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

Your position is clear: you consider access to food from around the world a positive development, while acknowledging possible harm to local producers and food habits. The example of importing dragon fruit and avocados into Bangladesh is relevant and helps explain how imports can meet consumer demand. However, some supporting points are not fully explained. For example, the claim that international food access will end a “syndicate with the raw materials” is difficult to understand, and the link between imported foods and a “balance diet” needs clearer reasoning. Develop each main benefit with a specific explanation or example, and make the conclusion state more directly why the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two contrasting body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On one hand” and “On the other hand” make the shift between viewpoints easy to follow, and the example is placed in the paragraph supporting your position. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent overall arrangement and shows some ability to guide the reader. To make progression more consistently clear, avoid formulaic or awkward transitions such as “On one hand of the spectrum are of the belief,” and connect each supporting sentence more explicitly to the paragraph’s main point. The final sentence is also difficult to follow, so restate your judgement in a simpler, more direct way.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “proliferation,” “locally produced,” “consumerism,” and “demand,” and the reader can generally identify your subject and viewpoint. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which makes some ideas difficult to interpret. For instance, “the proliferation of exported foods are gaining traction of general consumers” and “the syndicate with the raw materials of food” do not express your intended meaning clearly. There are also spelling and word-form slips, such as “yealding” and “aften.” Aim for precise, natural collocations rather than using complex-sounding phrases; this will improve clarity while retaining an appropriate range.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a concession in the introduction and conditional structures such as “If the exported food commodity become popular…”. However, control is uneven, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction sometimes make the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “the proliferation … are,” “in an another country,” and “the producer of local grain will be in loss.” The sentence beginning “On the other hand, if the consumers have the opportunity…” is also structurally incomplete or awkwardly joined. Review subject–verb agreement and article use, and make sure each conditional has a clear main clause. Shorter, accurately controlled sentences would help your more complex ideas come across.
