Food is the basic need for living, and the consumers can buy all kind of foods produced all around the world. This help people knowing about other countries cultures, and their national food. Furthermore it helps to boost economy, and tourism in the country. I think its a positive development.

Firstly, these days people can buy any kind of food produces anywhere in the world from the supermarkets. This help people connecting with other cultures. For instace, Japanese cusine is one of the famous cusine around the world. It gives us the knowledge about Japanese culture and the kind of spices they use in their dishes, which makes its flavour different from others. Additionally, we got to know about the national foods of other countries without travelling to them. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear from the introduction to the conclusion: you consider worldwide supermarket food a positive development. You address the question with two relevant reasons—cultural exchange and economic benefits—and support them with examples of Japanese cuisine and Italian pasta. This gives the response a sound, relevant foundation. However, the cultural examples mainly show that people can try foods without travelling, rather than fully explaining how this leads to greater understanding of cultures. The tourism and employment point is also asserted more than demonstrated, and the link between supermarket availability and tourists visiting particular places could be clearer. Developing these explanations and making the examples more directly support each claim would make the argument more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The essay has a clear overall structure: an introduction states your view, two body paragraphs present separate reasons, and a conclusion restates the position. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the argument, and examples are generally placed alongside the relevant points. Some connections are less clear or mechanical, however. For instance, “Such as” begins a sentence without a complete main clause, and the move from international food in supermarkets to tourists visiting “those places” is not fully explained. The conclusion also lists several benefits rather than synthesising the two main arguments. Use cohesive devices more naturally and clarify references and links between claims to strengthen progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “national food,” “spices,” “tourists,” “economy,” and “qualified chefs.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “variety of Italian pastas” and “international food courts.” However, noticeable spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word combinations limit the range and sometimes distract the reader: examples include “cusine,” “resturants,” “sweppers,” and “boost economy.” Repetition of “food,” “variety,” and “help” also reduces flexibility. Build accuracy with common collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, use “boost the economy” and “create employment opportunities.” This would make your vocabulary more precise and natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “spices they use in their dishes” and a result clause beginning “Consequently.” The overall meaning remains understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction occur across the response. For example, “This help people” should be “This helps people,” while “people connecting” needs a structure such as “people connect” or “people to connect.” In “the variety … is huge, and we can enjoy it,” the reference of “it” is unclear. The opening “Such as” is also a sentence fragment. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement and complete clause structures, then proofread for articles and punctuation while retaining your attempts at complex sentences.
