Student answer (Band 5.0)

In modern era of the world many people buy food which is produced all over the world and different types of food are availble in supermarkets which produced all countries in the whole world.

I think this is a positive development because some products are not avaible in other countries. Through this coutries have chance to trade well with other countries and enhance the annual GDP of the country.

For example, china have a big market to export things and few things they import from other countries. Moreover, most of the countries used chinese products such as food tins, pinapple tins, tomatto purey tins, salt, vaniger, and many type of souces as well, so these type of food and beverges are still needed in our country and we use frequently.

Another example is countries import a lot of vagitables also from other countries beacuse due to the weather of their country. Furthermore food produced all over the world and they use different kind preservation systems. all countries have their own goods and they exchange with other countries specialy food products. which is easily to import and export with GST. people buy these type of food from suppermarkets beacuse these types of food only availble in big markets only.wh While some food need cold storage to maintain their freshness and diliver easily to the bigstore. Specially in the modern era people frequently import food products which is highly fancy and expensive. Thus, this is the positive development forthe countries who trade well with other countries and through this they maintain a good relation with most of the countries, avail benefits, and make good chain between other countries.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is clear: you consider worldwide food availability a positive development, mainly because it enables trade and gives consumers access to products unavailable locally. The examples of imported canned foods and vegetables are relevant, and you also mention economic benefits and international relationships. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The China example is broad and does not clearly explain how the listed products support your argument, while the point about preservation and cold storage is introduced without showing why it makes this development positive. Explain the benefits more directly and develop one or two examples with specific cause-and-effect reasoning. This would make your response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The response has a basic structure: an introduction, a statement of your view, examples, and a concluding sentence. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “Furthermore,” and “Thus” show an effort to connect ideas. However, progression is difficult to follow because several different points are crowded into one long paragraph, and some links do not clearly express the relationship between ideas. For instance, the discussion moves from imported vegetables to preservation, GST, supermarkets, cold storage, and expensive foods without a clear sequence. The phrase “While some food…” also begins a contrast that is not completed clearly. Use separate body paragraphs for distinct reasons, and make each paragraph develop one central point with clear references and transitions.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “export,” “import,” “preservation,” “freshness,” and “trade,” which helps communicate your main ideas. There is also an attempt to use more specific examples, such as “food tins” and “cold storage.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or spelling errors make parts of the response harder to understand, including “availble,” “vagitables,” “souces,” and “fancy” for food products. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “trade well” and “make good chain between other countries.” Aim for accurate topic-specific collocations, such as “expand international trade” and “strengthen trade relations,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including sentences with reasons and examples, but control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and verb forms appear in “china have a big market” and “most of the countries used chinese products,” while the opening sentence lacks clear grammatical structure. Articles and sentence boundaries also need attention: “all countries have their own goods and they exchange with other countries specialy food products. which is easily to import and export” contains a fragment and an unclear relative clause. The long sentence beginning “Another example is countries import…” combines several ideas, making the grammar difficult to follow. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then connect them with correctly formed clauses and use full stops to separate complete ideas.
