Dear shri
I hope you will be fine, I am writing this letter to put your attention towards my working hours, as you know I am very disciplined and updated about my work schedule.
However, i want to reduced my working hours, the reason behind it i want to study French part time. It is clear that living in Montreal without learning French will be impossible especially for me who want to settle my life in Montreal.
The suggested working hours i will be working for your resort will be 48 hours weekly from my side

Moreover, learning French for me will also be beneficial for your resort to handle French speaking customers.
I hope you will be satisfied by my decision. i will be also waiting for your response.
Thank You

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
You have addressed all three bullet points in the prompt: explaining the reason for the request, specifying the hours, and describing the benefit to the employer. However, the development of these points is quite limited. For example, the explanation of how your studies benefit the resort is brief and could be expanded with more detail on how your improved language skills would specifically enhance customer service. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though it lacks the professional polish expected at higher bands. To improve, ensure that each point is fully extended with supporting details to demonstrate a more comprehensive response to the task requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is organized into short paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some basic cohesive devices like 'However' and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes disjointed, and the paragraphing is a bit fragmented. Some transitions feel mechanical, and the overall progression of ideas could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus that logically connects to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your request clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'working hours,' 'part-time,' and 'beneficial.' However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'put your attention towards' (instead of 'draw your attention to') and 'settle my life.' There are also minor errors in word choice that slightly impact the professional tone. To improve, try to incorporate more precise collocations and professional business terminology appropriate for a formal request to an employer.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with verb forms ('i want to reduced'), subject-verb agreement, and punctuation (such as comma splices and inconsistent capitalization of 'i'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, although they do not prevent the message from being understood. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly verb tenses and sentence boundaries, and aim to vary your sentence structures with more complex clauses.
