You successfully passed a job interview. You are expected to start on November 15, but you will not be available on that date.

Task: Write a letter to your new boss, explaining your situation, expressing your concern and suggesting a solution.

Dear Sir,

I hope you are doing well. I recently passed my interview at your esteemed organisation and I am writing to notify you about my unavailability on 15th November, which is going to be my first day.

I was very exited about my joining day. However, I sprained my ankle on last sunday while I was disembarking from a bus. My foot started swelling and subsequently I decided to meet with a doctor. While there was no major injury, I was adviced to take a bed rest for a few days until 19th November.

Therefore, I won't be able to join the corporation on 15th november. So, I kindly request you for a concession in providing more leaves untill my thorough recovery.

Since I know my absence can cause inconvenience to my fellow teammates, I had a telephonic conversation and suggested them to complete my training procedure at after hours so that i can complete my tasks on time.
