You would like to reduce your working hours in order to study part time.

Write a letter to your boss. In your letter

• explain why you want to reduce your working hours
• say which hours you would like to work
• describe how your part-time studies would benefit your employer

Dear Mr. Smith ,

I am writing to requesting you that please reduce my working hours for a short period of time.

As I am going to enroll in a part time study next month , the shift hours of Tuesday and Wednesday are matched with the study hours .

My shift starts from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Monday to Friday . So , I would like to work on Monday , Thursday and Friday as usual I do . If possible can I come on Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm because my class timing will be 8:00 am to 11:00 am .

I am doing Pharmacy technician course it would be beneficial for me as well for the organization as I will upgrade my position , currently working as pharmacy assistant . Also , the employer can get as existing and trustworthy employee as a Pharmacy Technician .
