Dear Sir,
I am writing to inform you that I am reducing my working hours because I am starting my part time studies. I will start my studies from falls. My lectures will be 3 hours a day from 8am to 12.00pm.

I would learn marketing skills in this studies. It will benefit your business because I would apply all new techniques in your business to make my work more effective. You will have more sales which will gives you economical boost.
I hope that you will support me in this hard time to give me work on requested hours, which helps me to study part time with peace of mind. I will be grateful to you.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt: the reason for the request, the specific hours desired, and the benefits to the employer. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter to a boss. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how the studies benefit the employer is a bit generic. To reach a higher band, you could provide more specific examples of how marketing knowledge would be applied to your current role. Despite this, all parts of the task are addressed clearly.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your request. You use some cohesive devices like 'Therefore' and 'I hope that,' which assist in linking ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally a bit mechanical. The transition between the explanation of your studies and the benefits to the employer could be smoother. Overall, the message is easy to follow, and the paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the different requirements of the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message clearly. You use some relevant business-related terms like 'marketing skills' and 'effective.' However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'from falls' (should be 'in the fall' or 'this autumn') and 'economical boost' (should be 'economic boost'). These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. Expanding your range of collocations would help improve this score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is always clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'I can only come afternoon hours' (should be 'in the afternoon'), 'fresh minds can adopt' (should be 'adapt'), and 'which gives you' (should be 'which will give you'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some minor issues with sentence construction. The errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your request.
