Dear Sir,
I would like to inform you about the change in my working schedule,
As I decided to continue further studies in accounting, I chose a masters program to gain proficiency in accounts sector, it is of two years.
Apart from this, I have keen interest in managing finances. I will continue to work from Monday to Wednesday as an office admin in your company. Moreover, I will join practicum classes for two days and attend theory classes on Weekends. In this way, I am able to manage work and studies both at the same time.

Yours sincerely,
Aman

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly explain the reason for the request (pursuing a Master's degree), specify the desired working hours (Monday to Wednesday), and outline the benefits to your employer (bookkeeping and payroll assistance). The tone is appropriate for a formal business letter. To improve, ensure that the connection between your studies and the company's benefit is more explicitly linked; for example, you could mention how the specific skills learned in your Master's program will directly improve your current administrative efficiency. Overall, the response is well-focused and meets the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each serving a clear purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Apart from this', 'Moreover', and 'Additionally' to transition between ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by punctuation errors, such as comma splices in the first and third paragraphs. Improving the use of full stops or semicolons to separate independent clauses would enhance the readability and logical progression of your arguments. The paragraphing is appropriate for a formal letter, and the overall structure is easy to follow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'proficiency', 'practicum', and 'financial statements'. There are some minor inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'accounts sector' (should be 'accounting sector') and 'incur less accounting fees' (should be 'incur lower accounting fees'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, incorporating more precise collocations would elevate the quality of your writing. You have successfully avoided repetition, and your choice of words is generally appropriate for a professional context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are several grammatical issues, particularly with comma splices and run-on sentences. For example, 'As I decided to continue further studies in accounting, I chose a masters program to gain proficiency in accounts sector, it is of two years' contains multiple clauses incorrectly joined by commas. Additionally, there are minor errors with articles and prepositions. To reach a higher band, focus on using full stops to separate distinct ideas and ensure subject-verb agreement is consistent throughout your writing.
