You would like to reduce your working hours in order to study part time.

Write a letter to your boss. In your letter

• explain why you want to reduce your working hours
• say which hours you would like to work
• describe how your part-time studies would benefit your employer

Dear Sir,

I writing this to make request for reducing my working hours from 40 hour's a week to 25 hour's for next 6 months.

Reason for my above request is, I am planning to take professional course on use of artificial intelligence in accounting. This would be a part time course of six months where I need to attend lectures on every day in the morning for 3 hours because of this I can be available in the office in afternoon only.

As you know in current world everyone is moving towards use of AI in business, After this course I will be able to use my knowledge gained during this course about use of AI in daily accounting tasks which will improve efficiency and effectiveness of my work which will ultimately help the company in future.

I hope you will approve my request and allow me to work on reduced hours until completion of this course.
