Dear Raha,

I am writing to request you for temporary reduction in my working hours because, I have recently joined part-time post-graduate Healthcare program. This course help me to develop my leadership skills as well as administrative skills with my part time job schedule.

I would like to work for 9:00 am to 2:00 pm in a week day instead of full time working hours. As my college held in the evening during week days, so this arrangement would help me to attend my lectures on time without affecting my performance at work.

I believe this course will also benefit for our organization. Attending lectures in Healthcare Management will helpful me to gain valuable knowledge regarding patient care management, teamwork, and healthcare planning. This skills will useful for me to contribute in our rehabilitation center and also help to develop new responsibilities for our organization.

I hope you will consider my request promptly. I would be happy to discuss my arrangement at your convenience.

Yours faithfully,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points of the task effectively. You clearly explained the reason for the request (post-graduate studies), specified the desired hours (9:00 am to 2:00 pm), and articulated how the employer would benefit from your new skills. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a manager. The ideas are relevant and well-developed, ensuring the reader understands both your needs and the value you bring to the organization. To reach a higher band, ensure that the connection between your studies and the specific benefits to the employer is even more explicitly linked to the company's daily operations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a closing. Each paragraph focuses on a specific aspect of the prompt, which helps the reader follow your argument easily. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'as well as', 'instead of', and 'therefore' (implied by the structure). However, the flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect sentences more fluidly. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is a bit abrupt. Using more sophisticated transitions would enhance the overall cohesion of the letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'post-graduate', 'administrative skills', and 'rehabilitation center'. However, there are some minor inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'benefit for our organization' (should be 'benefit our organization') and 'This skills will useful' (should be 'These skills will be useful'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and prepositions. Expanding your vocabulary to include more idiomatic professional expressions would help elevate your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. However, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('This course help me', 'This skills will useful') and missing articles or prepositions ('in a week day' should be 'on weekdays'). While these errors are frequent, they do not prevent the reader from understanding your message. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that auxiliary verbs are used correctly in complex sentences.
