Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: the reason for the request, the proposed hours, and the benefits to the employer. However, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which negatively impacts the score. The ideas are presented but lack sufficient development; for example, the explanation of how the studies will benefit the employer is quite vague and could have been expanded with specific examples of skills or knowledge gained. To improve, you must elaborate on your points to meet the length requirement and provide more depth to your arguments.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is organised into short paragraphs, which is appropriate for a formal letter. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. There is a lack of varied cohesive devices; the letter relies on simple transitions like 'So' and 'because'. To improve, you should use a wider range of linking words and phrases (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in addition to this') to connect your ideas more fluidly. The referencing is generally clear, but the overall structure feels a bit disjointed due to the brevity of the sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'bechular' (bachelor) and 'pcos Trades company'. The phrase 'helps multiple works' is unnatural and does not convey the intended meaning clearly. To reach a higher band, you need to use more precise professional terminology related to your role as an accountant and your academic goals. You should also focus on correct spelling and collocations, such as 'pursue a degree' rather than 'get a study'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('i working', 'i can helps') and article usage ('a accountant'). The sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of commas and capitalization of 'I'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring verbs agree with their subjects, and using correct punctuation throughout your writing.
