Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: the reason for the request, the proposed hours, and the benefits to the employer. However, the third bullet point is misinterpreted. You described how the studies benefit you (e.g., 'get better information', 'get scholarship') rather than how they would benefit your employer (e.g., by bringing new skills or knowledge to the workplace). The tone is also somewhat informal for a letter to a boss, lacking the professional register required for a formal request. To improve, ensure you explicitly link your studies to the company's productivity or goals.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Moreover' and 'Additionally', but the transitions between sentences are often abrupt. The lack of proper punctuation, such as missing capital letters at the start of sentences and inconsistent spacing, makes the flow of the letter difficult to follow. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring clear sentence boundaries would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. For example, you use the word 'study' or 'studies' multiple times in almost every sentence. There are also errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'Avalibility' (Availability) and 'finnancial' (financial). The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express your ideas with precision or professional tone. To reach a higher band, you should focus on using a wider variety of synonyms and ensuring correct spelling of common business-related terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement, sentence fragments, and punctuation. For instance, 'i am Rajandeep kaur and i have to request' is grammatically awkward, and the lack of capitalization for 'I' and proper nouns is a consistent issue. The sentence structures are mostly simple and repetitive. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, correct capitalization, and the use of articles and prepositions, which are currently missing or misused in several places.
