Dear Boss,
I hope you are doing well!
I am writing to request you assistance regarding my part-time study for that I will have to reduce my current working hours. I would like to study French language to get my permanent residential statues in Canada. Moreover, I will not have any sufficient time to study after my shift.
Firstly, I want to inform you about my new schedule if it is works for you. In addition, I will have classes of French on only these specific days Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Perhaps, other days of the week I am available for work. Furthermore, as per company's policy if any one team member of each department have bilingual or more than three language especially French language included will have access to study in native regions. Beside this, my language will be beneficial for both of us we will receive the funds and official approval letter to begin our research in that kind of areas where people do not know any other language except French.
I sincerely hope you will give this request your prompt attention and consideration.
Kind Regards,
Pardeep

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You explained the need to reduce hours for French studies, specified the days you are available, and described the potential benefit to your employer. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding how your studies benefit the employer is confusing and lacks clarity, particularly the section about 'native regions' and 'official approval letters'. To improve, ensure your arguments are logical and easy for the reader to follow. While the task requirements are met, the lack of clarity in the final point prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organised into paragraphs, which is appropriate for the task. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Firstly', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as starting a sentence with 'Beside this'. Additionally, the progression of ideas within the second paragraph is somewhat disjointed, making it difficult to follow the logic of how your studies will specifically benefit the company. Improving the flow between sentences and using a wider variety of linking words would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors. For example, 'request you assistance' should be 'request your assistance', and 'residential statues' should be 'residency status'. The phrase 'if it is works for you' is grammatically incorrect and lexically imprecise. While you attempt to use more formal language, the inaccuracies occasionally hinder the clarity of your points. To reach a higher band, focus on using collocations correctly and ensuring that your word choices are precise and appropriate for a formal business letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the letter. Examples include 'for that I will have to' (should be 'for which'), 'I will not have any sufficient time' (should be 'sufficient time'), and 'if any one team member... have' (should be 'has'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the sentence structure in the final paragraph is somewhat convoluted. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to be noticeable. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will help improve your grammatical accuracy.
