Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the task achievement. While you have attempted to address the three bullet points—explaining the reason for the request, specifying hours, and describing the benefits—the ideas are severely underdeveloped. For instance, the explanation regarding the benefits to the employer is vague and lacks professional detail. To improve, you must expand on each point with specific examples and professional justifications to ensure the letter is substantial enough to meet the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The letter lacks a clear structure. There is no proper paragraphing, and the flow of ideas is disjointed. The use of cohesive devices is almost entirely absent, making the text feel like a collection of loosely related sentences rather than a formal letter. To improve, you should organize your response into distinct paragraphs: an introduction, a body paragraph for each bullet point, and a formal closing. Using linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', and 'in addition' would help create a logical progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is very basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors such as 'latter' instead of 'letter', 'childerns' instead of 'children', 'manege' instead of 'manage', and 'emloyer' instead of 'employer'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express professional ideas clearly. You need to focus on learning common business collocations and improving your spelling. Using more precise terminology related to employment and professional development would significantly enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede communication. There is a lack of proper sentence structure, with many run-on sentences and missing punctuation. Basic errors include subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'i am a house wife') and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'i like work' instead of 'I like working'). The lack of capitalization for 'I' and the start of sentences is also a recurring issue. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, including the correct use of articles, verb tenses, and punctuation.
