Dear Manager,

I am writing to request a temporary reduction in my working hours so that I can undertake a part-time course in business management. I have been interested in developing my management skills for some time, and I believe that gaining a formal qualification would significantly enhance my professional capabilities. However, attending the course alongside my current full-time schedule would be extremely difficult.

Ideally, I would like to work from **8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday to Friday**, rather than completing my usual working hours. This arrangement would allow me to attend classes in the afternoons while continuing to contribute to the company every morning. I would, of course, ensure that my responsibilities are completed efficiently and that this change causes as little disruption as possible.

I am confident that my studies would also benefit the company in the long term. The course covers areas such as leadership, strategic planning and team management, all of which are directly relevant to my current position. I would be able to apply the knowledge and skills gained from my studies to my daily responsibilities, potentially improving both my productivity and the quality of my work. In addition, the qualification could enable me to take on greater responsibility within the company in the future.

I would be grateful if you could consider my request. I would be happy to discuss the proposed schedule and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that the company's needs continue to be met.
