Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

You have successfully addressed all three bullet points in the prompt. You explained the reason for your request (computer classes), specified the desired hours, and described the benefits to your employer. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a boss. However, the explanation of the specific hours is slightly confusing; you mention needing a '5 hours shift for 3 days' but the phrasing regarding the 'remaining days' is unclear. To improve, ensure your proposed schedule is articulated with absolute clarity so your employer can easily understand your availability. Overall, the task requirements are met, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is logically organized into paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'However', and 'In addition' to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and punctuation errors, such as the spacing around commas and periods. The transition between the explanation of your studies and the proposed schedule could be smoother. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your punctuation does not distract from the logical progression of your argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, using terms like 'productivity', 'advancement', and 'sessions'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and non-standard collocations, such as 'grab the programmes', 'techno world', and 'guidence'. Some of these choices sound informal or unnatural. To improve, focus on learning common collocations used in professional correspondence. For example, instead of 'grab the programmes', use 'master the software'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise, professional terminology will significantly enhance the quality of your writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses ('I have recently join'), articles, and prepositions ('classes 3 days in a week'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with unnecessary spaces before commas and periods. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction. Proofreading your work specifically for these recurring errors before finishing will help you achieve a higher level of accuracy.
