Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The letter covers all three bullet points: the reason for the request (capstone project), the preferred hours (afternoon to evening), and the benefits to the employer (new technical skills). However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation of how the studies benefit the employer is a bit vague, relying on general statements about AI content rather than specific professional applications. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, although the opening and closing are slightly informal. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the specific ways your new skills will add value to the company's current projects.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your request. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, 'Adding it' is not a standard transition, and 'Although, my this availbity give you problem but' contains redundant and awkward phrasing. The progression of ideas is clear, but the links between sentences could be smoother. Improving your range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition to this') would help the flow of your writing significantly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several spelling errors, such as 'availbility' and 'avalibity', and some word choice issues, such as 'my this availbity' and 'during my every day competitions'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited to basic terms. To improve, focus on using more precise professional terminology and ensure you proofread for common spelling mistakes. Using more sophisticated collocations would also help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You frequently omit articles ('I am student', 'in morning time') and struggle with verb tense and subject-verb agreement ('I hope you doing well', 'my this availbity give you problem'). Punctuation is also problematic, particularly with comma usage and sentence fragments. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to distract the reader. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for missing articles will help improve your accuracy.
