Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
You have addressed all three bullet points required by the prompt: explaining the reason for the request, specifying the desired hours, and outlining the benefits to the employer. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter to a boss. However, the development of ideas is somewhat brief. For instance, while you mention 'organizational management skills,' providing a slightly more concrete example of how this would specifically help your current role would have strengthened the response. Overall, the purpose of the letter is clear and the requirements are met.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'On top of that,' and 'Additionally' to guide the reader through your points. While the flow is generally good, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The use of referencing is clear, and the overall structure follows the standard conventions of a formal business letter, which helps the reader follow your argument without difficulty.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'advancement,' 'organizational management,' and 'credential.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'working hours limitation' (better: 'reduction in my working hours') and 'after achieve this' (should be 'after achieving'). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise control over word forms and collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'I would appreciated if you will allow me' (should be 'I would appreciate if you would allow me') and 'I can not only be contribute' (should be 'I can not only contribute'). These errors occur frequently enough to be noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your request. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and modal verb usage will help improve your accuracy.
