Dear Rajinder
The reason why I am writing this letter to you is that I am planning to study part time due to that i am going to reduce my working hours from next week.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The response addresses all parts of the prompt, as you mention why you want to reduce your hours, state your proposed schedule, and explain how the studies will benefit your employer. However, the development of these ideas is limited and at times under-developed. For instance, the explanation of how your employer benefits is slightly vague and repetitive ('they get the full time work as well as earn more'). To reach a higher level, you should extend your ideas further, providing more specific details and clearer explanations for each point required by the task prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
There is some organisation in the letter, as you begin with an appropriate greeting and attempt to separate your ideas into paragraphs. However, there is a lack of clear overall progression between sentences, and cohesive devices are sometimes inadequate or inaccurate, such as using 'due to that i am going to' and 'as a result' in a mechanical way. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun reference in the final sentence where 'they' is ambiguous. To improve, you should ensure that your sentences flow more naturally into one another and that cohesive devices are used more precisely to connect your thoughts logically.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable lexical errors, incorrect word forms, and spelling mistakes throughout the response, such as 'reparing' instead of repairing, 'Electronic' instead of Electronics, 'invitation' instead of offer or acceptance letter, 'scholorship', 'insted', and 'schedual'. These errors reflect a restricted range of vocabulary and occasional inaccuracies that can cause some difficulty for the reader. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your range of vocabulary, use correct word forms and spellings, and demonstrate better control over common collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text displays a limited range of grammatical structures, and your attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as missing articles ('am working in a reparing department'), awkward tense usage and time markers ('For a long time, i am planning'), and prepositional issues inside patterns ('study part time'). Additionally, punctuation and capitalisation errors are present throughout the text. To move up to the next band, you need to produce a wider variety of error-free sentences, improve your control over basic and complex grammatical forms, and ensure better accuracy in word agreements and tenses.
