Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you explain that your computer science studies require more time, specify a preferred 8 a.m.–2 p.m. schedule, and describe possible benefits to the company. The request is clear and appropriately polite, and the letter includes a suitable opening and closing. The employer benefit is the least developed part: claims about doing “professionals assignments for meeting” and representing the company internationally are difficult to understand and are not supported with concrete examples. Explain more precisely how the course will improve your work—for example, by helping you contribute technical skills to projects. This would make the ideas more fully developed and the benefit more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement, with separate paragraphs for your reason, preferred hours, and the benefit to the employer. The sequence is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “however,” “therefore,” and “moreover” show how ideas relate. Some connections are mechanical or unclear, particularly the transition from your course to the company’s future benefit, and the final paragraph’s ideas do not progress smoothly. Punctuation and spacing around some linking words also interrupt the flow. Use fewer, more purposeful connectors and make the relationship between each claim explicit. For example, connect the course’s practical work directly to a skill you could apply in your role.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “working hours,” “online classes,” “practical assignments,” and “consideration.” However, the range and control are limited, and several word-choice, collocation, and spelling errors make parts difficult to interpret. Phrases such as “additional graduation,” “reduce my job times,” and “professionals assignments” do not express the intended meaning naturally; “internastional” and “oppertunity” are also misspelled. Aim for accurate, conventional workplace language, such as “pursue a degree,” “reduce my working hours,” and “complete professional assignments.” More precise vocabulary for the employer benefit would also help you explain your ideas clearly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a conditional request (“It would be grateful if you could…”) and a contrast introduced by “however.” Nevertheless, errors occur frequently, and some sentence structures are faulty enough to make meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I am writing to request lessen my working hours” needs an infinitive construction, while “i will be makes” has an incorrect verb form. There are also problems with articles, sentence boundaries, capitalization, and punctuation, as in “good marks.however.” Practise building accurate request patterns and checking each sentence for a clear subject and correctly formed verb before adding complex clauses.
