Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address the main situation by explaining that work and study are difficult to manage and that lack of sleep affects your health. You also attempt to state preferred working hours and explain a possible benefit to your employer: feeling rested may help you work properly. However, the request is not clearly or fully specified. “I completely would like to since 10 A.M.” does not make clear which days or how many hours you want to work, and the following times are difficult to interpret. The employer benefit is also brief and general. Develop each point more directly—for example, give a precise proposed schedule and explain how your studies will build skills relevant to your job. The response also lacks a suitable opening and closing for a formal letter.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it moves from the reason for the request to a proposed schedule and then to a possible benefit for the employer. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points. However, the overall progression is not consistently clear, and several connections between ideas are difficult to follow. For example, “I completely would like to since 10 A.M.” is followed by a confusing sequence of times, while “after that” does not clearly connect the schedule to the intended request. Linking words such as “so” and “for example” are repeated or used awkwardly. Use one paragraph for each task point, state the schedule in a clear sequence, and use straightforward transitions to show cause and result.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “reduce my working hours,” “schedule,” “homework,” and “health.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make the message unclear or unnatural. Phrases such as “many work,” “Enough sleeping,” “assent the your worker,” and “it feels me peacefully” do not express the intended ideas accurately. There are also spelling errors, including “finshed,” “clam,” and “ti.” These issues sometimes make the reader work to understand your meaning. Build a small set of accurate phrases for requesting a schedule change and describing workplace benefits, and check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both short statements and longer sentences, including a reason-and-result structure with “because” and examples introduced by “For example.” However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in basic sentence construction, verb forms, agreement, and punctuation. For instance, “I writing a letter” is missing an auxiliary, “it is effect my health” has an incorrect verb form, and “then they are work properly” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Several sentences run together without clear punctuation, making relationships between ideas harder to follow. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check verb forms after subjects such as “I,” “it,” and “they.”
