Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you explain that your course and weekday morning classes motivate the request, propose working weekday evenings, and describe possible benefits to the company. The strongest relevant benefit is that the course could help you move into a professional role within the company. However, this point is not developed with a specific example of how your new skills would help your work, while the reference to improving your Canadian permanent-residency score is less directly connected to the employer’s interests. The request also needs a clear, complete closing. To strengthen the letter, explain what computer-technology skills you expect to gain and how they could be applied in your role, then state the requested arrangement directly and politely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a generally clear sequence: it gives the reason for writing, explains your study schedule, proposes working hours, and then discusses benefits. Paragraphing helps distinguish these points, and connectors such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” show relationships between ideas. Some links are mechanical or unclear, however. For example, “I want the weekends to be free” is followed by a reason about stress, but the connection between weekend availability and the proposed weekday-evening schedule could be made more explicit. The final sentence, “I would appreciate to you,” is incomplete and leaves the letter without a clear ending. Use a direct request and a conventional closing to make the progression feel complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “part-time computer technology course,” “working hours,” and “professional role.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “On the basis of my class timings,” although this sounds unnatural in this context. Several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, including “submit a request,” “boost up my CRS scores,” and “build up my profile stronger.” Spelling slips such as “recenlty” and “wil” also reduce accuracy. These issues do not prevent the reader from understanding your purpose, but more natural workplace language would make the letter clearer and more professional. Prefer precise phrases such as “request a reduction in my hours” and “develop skills that could benefit the company.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use both simple sentences and some longer structures, including the conditional “if I work more hours than expected then it may lead to stress and health issues” and the clause beginning “as I have enrolled.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems are noticeable. For example, “as it allow me” needs subject–verb agreement, and “I would appreciate to you” does not form a complete grammatical request. There are also missing spaces after full stops and commas, as in “morning.I” and “timings,I.” Check agreement, sentence completion, and punctuation carefully. Practising polite request patterns such as “I would appreciate it if you could consider…” would improve accuracy in this letter.
