Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three points clearly: you explain that the course is a scholarship-supported programme in automation and robotics, request a reduced schedule, and describe how the qualification could help you maintain the company’s systems without relying on the manufacturer’s specialists. The proposed Monday-to-Wednesday workdays and six-month period make the request specific, while the savings in time and money provide relevant support. This gives the letter a clear purpose and a consistent position. To strengthen the response further, explain more explicitly how the three study days fit around the requested workdays, and develop the employer benefit with a little more detail. A more direct, professional request would also make the purpose especially clear to your boss.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible sequence: you introduce your request, explain the course and preferred workdays, then describe the potential benefit to the company before closing. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “so that” show how ideas relate. This is a coherent overall arrangement. However, some connections are abrupt: “Which is only 3 days a week” is separated from the sentence it refers to, and the transition from the course schedule to your assurance about work is not fully developed. The final request largely repeats the opening. To move further, connect related information within complete sentences and use references and transitions more naturally, rather than relying on a few explicit linkers.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “part time course,” “automation and robotics,” “maintain,” and “specialist from manufacturer,” so the reader can understand the request and its intended benefit. There are also attempts at more specific workplace language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “maintence,” “requist,” “scholership,” “proffesion,” and “lisence.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “repair and maintain our automation system smooth” and “consider my application positively.” These issues limit the accuracy and naturalness of the vocabulary, even though the main message remains understandable. Focus on checking spelling and learning common professional collocations, such as “reduce my working hours” and “maintain the system efficiently.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main request and its supporting reasons are generally understandable. However, several sentence-boundary and clause-structure problems make the writing less controlled. “Which is only 3 days a week for next six month” is a fragment, while “End of this study I will get…” needs a clearer introductory phrase and sentence structure. There are also errors with articles, agreement, and verb forms, as in “I am … maintenance engineer” and “I ensure you,” and punctuation around the long sentence beginning “Moreover” is difficult to follow. To improve, build complete sentences around dependent clauses, check articles and verb forms, and use full stops to separate the course details from the work schedule.
