Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you explain your interest in nursing, propose working 24 hours a week in an evening shift, and describe how your studies could help the clinic. The benefit is relevant, especially your aim to return as a registered nurse, but it is not fully clear how your current experience or new knowledge would benefit the employer in practical terms. The requested schedule also needs clarification: “from 5pm to 1am any time you can schedule my shift” is difficult to interpret, and weekend availability is broad. Develop these details and make the request more specific. The letter’s purpose is clear, though a more direct explanation of why you need reduced hours would strengthen it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall sequence: you introduce the request, explain your study plans, give your preferred hours, and then discuss the employer’s benefit. Paragraph breaks and signposts such as “Additionally” and “Finally” help the reader follow this progression. This is a solid organisational foundation, and the main points are generally connected. However, some linking phrases feel mechanical, and the final paragraph combines your experience, request, study needs, and future benefit in a crowded sequence. The reference in “It will be benefits for as well” is also unclear. Separate the employer benefit from the scheduling request and use more precise links between ideas to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “working hours,” “part time study,” “weekends,” “clinic,” and “registered nurse,” so the reader can identify your main message. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts of the letter less natural or harder to understand. Examples include “redusing,” “ward attented,” “manage psycho,” and “old employee.” Choose standard workplace and healthcare expressions, and check spelling carefully. For instance, “reduce my working hours,” “ward attendant,” and “manage patients with diabetes” would communicate your meaning more clearly. More precise vocabulary for the employer’s benefit would also help you explain how your studies could contribute to the clinic.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including “Therefore, I take a decision to do BSC nursing for four years” and the conditional “If i could get this degree, you will get your old employee as a register nurse.” This shows an effort to express reasons and future outcomes, but some sentence patterns and verb forms are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I would like you tell about I have keen interest” needs a clearer clause structure, while “I am ward attented in your clinic from 2 years” has problems with tense and preposition use. Practise accurate request forms, present-perfect constructions for duration, and punctuation between clauses. These corrections will make your ideas easier to read.
