Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three requested points: you explain that you want to pursue a master’s degree in physiotherapy, specify a proposed schedule of 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. around weekday lectures, and describe benefits such as updated techniques and improved service quality. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the request remains relevant throughout. Your explanation of the employer’s benefit is extended with more than one outcome, although these claims are quite general; a specific example of how your new skills could improve patient care or support the company would make the case more convincing. The request for permission is also clear, but a more direct, professional closing would strengthen the letter’s overall effectiveness.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter follows a sensible overall order: you state your request, explain your study schedule, then describe how the qualification could benefit the company. Paragraphing helps distinguish the practical arrangements from the benefits, and linking expressions such as “Therefore” and “As well as” show an attempt to connect ideas. However, some links feel mechanical or unclear, particularly “As wel as,It will bring…,” and the schedule information is packed into one long sentence. The final request and sign-off are understandable but could be more smoothly connected to the preceding explanation. To make the progression more polished, use clear paragraph breaks and straightforward transitions, and ensure each sentence develops one main point.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “masters in physiotherapy,” “recent techniques,” “management skills,” and “quality of service.” These choices communicate the main ideas, but the range and control are limited by repeated general terms such as “knowledge” and “benefits,” as well as several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors: “redusing,” “upadate,” “beleive,” and “comapny.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “give me the permission” and “receive much more benifits.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding your request, but they reduce precision and professionalism. Build a bank of accurate workplace and study collocations, and proofread spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, for example, “As it will be from Monday to Friday, 2pm to 5pm, my working hours will be from 8 am to 1.30 pm.” The main message is generally understandable, but errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms are frequent enough to limit accuracy. In “I would like to continue my studies little further with masters,” the article and phrasing are not controlled; “I am kindly requesting you to give me the permission for that” also shows difficulty with the grammatical pattern of a formal request. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, especially around “As wel as,It.” Practise accurate request structures and check articles, sentence boundaries, and punctuation when editing.
