Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, people have different opinions about visiting the popular places to take photographs without having any ideas about the places. This essay will discuss why this is happening and whether it is a positive or negative trend.
In this era of digitalization, people are getting influenced by the activities that are shared in social media platforms which seem attractive and mesmerizing and influenced them to do the same without looking at the places. For example, a couple saw a beautiful pictures of their friends in Nigeria fall and instantly they made a plan to go there and took photographs of themselves.
This is a mixture of positive and negative trend. The reason why it is positive is that it is a great way to create a memory or a moments snaped in a photograph to reminisce in the future. For example, my friend went to well known tourist place in Indonesia which is called as Bali last year and she was showing the photographs of her trip. She was recollecting all the memories that she have created in Bali. Additionally, it is a great way to explore the place and the scenery. The negative trend would be the waste of money as the well known places will not affordable for everyone. It seem tempting in the picture but the expenses behind not displayed.
In conclusion, many people these days visit to popular places to take photographs they are influenced by the social media. This is mixture of positive as well as negative trend as it photographs would be used later to reminiscing the moments. However, on the other hand it would be the waste of money as the well known places comes with large expenses.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding social media influence is clear, but the discussion on the positive and negative aspects lacks depth. For instance, the argument about the 'waste of money' is mentioned but not fully explored in terms of its broader impact. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed reasoning and perhaps a more nuanced perspective on why this phenomenon is occurring in modern society.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'In this era of digitalization,' 'For example,' and 'In conclusion,' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, but the connection between the ideas in the third paragraph could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'digitalization,' 'mesmerizing,' and 'recollecting.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'snaped' (spelled incorrectly as 'snaped' instead of 'snapped') and 'the well known places will not affordable.' These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on learning collocations and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as 'the well known places comes with large expenses' (subject-verb agreement) and 'she have created' (subject-verb agreement). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and tense inconsistencies throughout the text. While these errors rarely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tenses will significantly improve your accuracy.
