Student answer (Band 6.5)
In present times, alot of people spend more time on taking their pictures at a tourist place rather than admiring the beauty of that particular plcae. There are few reasons behind this trend like excess social media presence, and I believe that this trend has a negative impact on the generation.
To embark on, there are certain reasons behind the increased trend of pictures at touristic places. The increased social media presence of an individual forces them to post pictures on their accounts to flaunt their travel itenrary. For example; a person who visits New york, will click photos with Statue of Liberty or at Times Square to show off in front of their friends who have never visited the city. Moreover, the other factor for clicking pictures can be to store them as a memory to look after in the future. The photos at popular place hold greater value for a person who might not be able to visit the same places again.
Additionaly; this trend have a negative impact on the society. Nowadays, people spend more time clicking picttures rather than admiring the beauty of the place that they visited which deminishes the purpose of their visit. Other than that, the touristsic places offer memories and experiences that needs to the experienced rather than captured on the camera. Furthermore, The trips should always be something that should be enjoyed with the loved ones and spending excessive time on clicking pictures can reduce the purpose if the trip.
To conclude with, I would say that there are plethora of reasoons behind the excessive photograophy at popular places and certianly they have a negative impact on the society and the experiences of the travellers.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The ideas are relevant, such as the influence of social media and the desire to preserve memories. However, the development is somewhat limited; for instance, the point about 'memories' is mentioned but not fully explored in terms of the psychological impact of digital versus physical experiences. The position is clear throughout the essay, and the conclusion effectively summarizes the main points. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced examples and expand on the implications of these trends in greater detail.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To embark on', 'Moreover', and 'Additionaly', though some of these are used slightly unnaturally or contain punctuation errors (e.g., 'For example;'). Referencing is generally clear, though the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words to connect ideas more fluidly. The paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'flaunt' and 'plethora', which are used correctly. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'alot', 'plcae', 'itenrary', 'Additionaly', 'deminishes', and 'touristsic'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable but do not impede communication. To improve, focus on proofreading for common spelling mistakes and try to incorporate more precise collocations related to travel and social media behavior.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('this trend have a negative impact', 'experiences that needs to the experienced') and punctuation errors (misuse of semicolons). The sentence structure is functional, but the control over complex structures is inconsistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and ensure that punctuation marks are used correctly to separate clauses. Reducing the frequency of these minor errors would significantly improve the overall quality of the writing.
