Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that in today's era, most of the individuals explore well- known places to take pictures without having much knowledge about that places. There are numerous reasons about it. Additionally, I believe that it has negative impact due to some cause that I will discuss in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, First and foremost is, if that place is already visited by any celebrity or any influencer, people want to visit by watching their videos and pictures. It is often seen that when people watch beautiful videos related to that area on Instagram or in vlog on Youtube, they get influence to see that beautiful views. For example, a number of individuals using social media to show their journey of different places and when they come across any unique place. They share their pictures it in a way that attract more and more people .
On the other hand, I think it is a negative trend. Although that area is calm and soothing, sometimes there might be some difficulties. Moreover, sometimes be different what they desire will be when they reach there. To explain it, in 2025, there are number of videos got viral about one place in Ontario where are beautiful flowers. After seeing that most people visited there. However, some of them did not see that same. Because there is a season for flowers to flourish. Some visited in same season, some not. Thus, it best way to check on internet or collect enough knowledge about that place before going there.
Overall, it is good to explore different places and get knowledge about them from videos, I firmly believe that one should get enough knowledge about them before visiting. It can remove your difficulties that someone can face after reaching there.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The explanation regarding social media influence is relevant, but the example provided in the second body paragraph regarding the Ontario flower field is slightly confusing and lacks clear logical connection to the main argument. While the position is clear, the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. The response covers all requirements but lacks the depth of analysis expected for higher bands.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'Overall', but some transitions feel mechanical or slightly repetitive. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'There are numerous reasons about it', where the pronoun 'it' does not clearly refer back to a specific noun. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to convey their meaning clearly. There are some attempts at less common vocabulary, such as 'flourish' and 'soothing', which are used correctly. However, there are instances of awkward phrasing and word choice, such as 'get influence to see' instead of 'are influenced to visit' and 'there are number of videos got viral'. The range is sufficient for the task, but the lack of precision and occasional errors in collocation prevent a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms ('videos got viral'), articles ('the place' vs 'that places'), and sentence construction ('First and foremost is, if that place...'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some sentences being fragmented or run-on. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to limit the score. A greater focus on subject-verb agreement and sentence structure variety would be beneficial.
