Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear throughout, and the ideas are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention social media as a driver, the explanation of why people prioritize photos over history could be more deeply explored. The conclusion is slightly abrupt and contains an incomplete sentence, which affects the overall impact of the argument. To improve, ensure that each paragraph fully develops the 'why' and 'how' behind your claims with more detailed reasoning.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed. For example, the transition between the positive aspects of social media and the negative impact on historical sites in the second paragraph is a bit abrupt. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between sentences would help elevate your score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'deteriorates', 'historical values', and 'untouched places'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'This has become fantasy to be on those places' and 'gener' (incomplete word). Some collocations are also slightly unnatural, such as 'people who comes to visit place'. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that your word choices are contextually appropriate and grammatically accurate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('people who comes', 'people spends') and article usage ('the Taj Mahal', 'a popular place'). There are also punctuation issues, such as the unnecessary capitalization of 'This' in the middle of a sentence. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article consistency will help improve your accuracy.
