Student answer (Band 6.0)

yes, it is true that most people in this era just visit the places just for photographs and video purpose without any infromation of the place.

this is happening first, They have lack of knowledge about that places history and importance in particular culture. they visited that place cause someone told about this place or may be the seen it in movies or photos, cause of mesmorising view they find it is good place to visit as result they went there just for photoshoot. Secondly Their purpose to visit the place, for example many people in this world visiting some places just cause of shoot a movie, reel, song or pre wedding shoot so their visiting is tottaly different so they do not have any interset in the locations history and culture.

I think this can be a negative trend, cause Firtsly, they may be deprived from their roots or if they are foreginers they missed the opportuinty ro know something different from their culture or explore something unique than their culture. secondly They can have great unforgettable experinece if they know the history of the parfticular place for example if someone visited jalianwala bagh in Punjab India i, and if they the history they can feel it while staying on the place how this happend at here they can feel the pain, view happiness or any other moment they about the place.

Conclusion, Knowing the information of a place before visiting any place can be best unforgettable experienced memory than just visiting a place for photograph, even your purpose to visit the place is different.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons such as a lack of cultural knowledge and the influence of social media, these points could be expanded with more depth. The conclusion is present but lacks a clear summary of the main arguments. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and provides a more detailed explanation of the 'why' and 'how' behind your points, rather than just listing them.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite basic and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'firstly', 'secondly'). There are also issues with sentence-level cohesion, where the connection between ideas is sometimes abrupt. For example, the transition between the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of the trend is not clearly signposted. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your sentences flow logically from one to the next using referencing and substitution.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite limited and repetitive. You use simple words like 'good', 'place', and 'visit' frequently. There are also several spelling errors (e.g., 'infromation', 'mesmorising', 'foreginers', 'opportuinty') and some awkward collocations (e.g., 'shoot a movie' instead of 'film a movie'). To improve, focus on learning synonyms for common words and pay closer attention to the spelling of academic or topic-specific vocabulary. Using more precise terminology related to tourism and cultural heritage would significantly enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'they visited that place cause someone told'), incorrect verb tenses, and punctuation errors. Many sentences are run-on or lack proper conjunctions. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, particularly the use of articles, prepositions, and verb tenses. Proofreading your work for basic errors like missing 's' on plurals or incorrect verb forms will help you achieve a higher band score.
