Student answer (Band 6.5)
Nowadays, more and more people like to visit on well known places to take photographs of themselves, without looking at the place. This happens due to social media addiction and craze of posting content on it. In my opinion, this is a negative trend.
Firstly, social media plays vital role in youth for making them follow various cringe trends. This creates the sense to post various memes and activities on accounts. Similarly, same situation can be applied on this statement as people usually focus on clicking pictures by seeing background attractions rather than exploring whole place and its historical significance. People set central idea of gaining fame on social media networks by making some relevant trends.
Secondly, this is the negative trend. As people believes that social media is the only tool to fetch attention. They forgot about their personal life while becoming professional on social platforms. Moreover, people like to visit many places and regions at large scale but they don’t want to know about the history and culture of that particular place. This is because they think that having photographs on various continents and places is the only worthwhile for visiting there. It also regulates the behaviour characteristics of the person according to their public profiles.
In conclusion, over addiction of something can destroy person’s mental and physical health in plenty of ways. They will become limited upto their social lives. Generally, it can reduce interactions between people to adopt new habits and ideas. Social media should be used for learning new skills and not for leaning on it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the opinion on whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the introduction. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media addiction and the desire for fame, the arguments could be more thoroughly extended with specific examples or deeper analysis. For instance, the discussion on 'cringe trends' is a bit vague. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully supported with a clear explanation of how it relates to the phenomenon of ignoring the physical location in favor of photography.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Similarly, same situation can be applied on this statement'. Additionally, some sentences lack smooth flow, making the connection between ideas feel a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'this', 'it') is always clear would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'historical significance', 'worthwhile', and 'behaviour characteristics'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'visit on well known places' (should be 'visit well-known places') and 'over addiction' (should be 'excessive addiction'). Some phrasing is also slightly unnatural, such as 'making them follow various cringe trends'. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic vocabulary to express your ideas more fluently.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with articles ('the' vs. zero article), subject-verb agreement ('people believes'), and preposition usage ('limited upto'). Some sentences are slightly fragmented or awkward in their construction, such as 'This creates the sense to post various memes'. While these errors do not prevent communication, they are frequent enough to keep the score in the 6.0 range. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy will help improve your score.
