Student answer (Band 6.5)
In contemporary epoch, many individual travel to famous tourist attractions mainly to take photographs of themselves instead of appreciating the beauty, history, or cluture of the place. This essay will elucidate the reasons behind that, and i believe that it is a negavtive development , and i will explain the reasons in the subsequent paragraph.
To commence with, one of the main reasons for this trend is the growing influence of social media platforms such as instagram and facebook. To expound, peoples often want to upload attractive photos to receive likes, comments, and followers. As a result, they focus more on finding the perfect angle for a picture than on learing about the destination. For example, In comparison world, the youngster perfer to visit out of the country rather than the local areas.
To combat this issue, people miss valuable opportunities to exprience different clutures, traditional, and historical sites. Instead of creating meaningful memories, they become more concerned about taking selfie. In addition to, this behaviou can contribute to overcrowding at famous photo spots, causing not only inconvenience for other visitors but also sometimes even damaging the environment. For instance, at many renowed landmarks, tourist spend long peridos taking pictures while ignoring information about the site's history and significance. Hence, The more citizens spend time aforementioned the reaons , The more negative effects on place.
In recapulate, the increasing habit of visiting famous places mainly for selfies is essential caused by the ifluence of social media and the desire for online recognition. Although photographs can create lasting memories, i believe this is an overall negative trend because it distracts people from genuinely appreciating the places they visit.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. The position is clear from the introduction and maintained throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the example provided regarding 'youngster perfer to visit out of the country' is vague and does not clearly support the argument about social media influence. While the negative impacts are discussed, the explanation could be more nuanced to reach a higher band. The essay covers all requirements, but the depth of analysis is somewhat superficial, which is characteristic of a Band 6.0 performance.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To commence with', 'As a result', and 'In recapulate', though some are used incorrectly or sound unnatural, such as 'In addition to, this behaviou'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing and minor errors in referencing. The use of paragraphing is appropriate, and the essay follows a standard structure, which helps the reader follow the argument despite some mechanical issues with linking words.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'contemporary epoch', 'elucidate', and 'expound', but these are sometimes used incorrectly or in a way that feels forced. There are also several spelling errors, such as 'cluture', 'negavtive', 'learing', 'exprience', and 'renowed'. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. The range is sufficient for the task but lacks the precision and natural collocation required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('peoples often want', 'tourist spend'), article misuse, and punctuation errors. The sentence 'The more citizens spend time aforementioned the reaons , The more negative effects on place' is particularly problematic in terms of both grammar and clarity. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of errors is high, and the control over complex structures is inconsistent. These errors are noticeable and detract from the overall quality of the writing.
