Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and the evaluation of whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media and popularity as reasons, the explanation remains superficial. The third paragraph introduces a point about family bonding and relief, which seems to contradict your initial stance that the trend is negative, leading to a lack of clarity in your overall position. To improve, ensure that each paragraph directly supports your main argument and provides more detailed examples or logical extensions to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive feature. However, the logical progression between ideas is sometimes weak. For example, the transition between the second and third paragraphs is abrupt, and the conclusion does not effectively summarize the arguments presented. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Furthermore' and 'Apart from this', but they are sometimes used mechanically or inappropriately given the context of the argument. Improving the use of linking words to show clear relationships between sentences and paragraphs will help improve the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'click pictures', 'well known place', and 'gain popularity'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choice errors, such as 'significant of places' (significance) and 'the busiest life of youngsters'. To achieve a higher score, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary and idiomatic expressions related to tourism, social media, and cultural heritage, and ensure you use words in their correct grammatical form.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include missing articles ('the the youth', 'one of the major tourist place'), incorrect verb forms ('will reduces'), and punctuation errors ('Yes, It comes in trend theses days'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, although they do not fully impede communication. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, consistent use of articles, and proofreading for basic punctuation and spelling errors to ensure your sentences are more accurate.
