Student answer (Band 5.5)
In this modern generation people rely more on showoff, so people see everything from social media and post everything on it. They believe in visiting well-known places for photographs only without knowing about that place well. As every coin has two sides it also has pros and cons. This essay will discuss both merits and demerits.
On the one hand, people believe to live in today’s time and enjoy the present. It is very much important to enjoy the every moment of our life and create memory by taking pictures of that moment, so that in future if anyone wants to recall that memory they can see those pictures. Other than that in future if a person wants to share those memory with any relatives or their offspring they can have the resource to show that. This trend becomes mandatory for everyone with the use of modern technology.
On the other hand, people are believing more on social media post rather than just creating memories. They make reels and videos for just showoff their trip to world. They want to follow the trend of wandering and photography. Although it is good to create memories but before that people should look at the place that weather is it safe or not. Sometimes people don’t aware about the place which makes trouble for them.
In conclusion, visit different different places can be sometimes bother people if they are unaware about the places, but with the proper knowledge and precautions person can safely explore or visit the location to fulfill their purposes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention social media and the desire to 'show off' as reasons, the analysis remains superficial. The discussion on whether it is positive or negative is also underdeveloped; you touch upon creating memories but do not fully explore the implications of ignoring the actual location. To achieve a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper reasoning regarding the psychological or societal impact of this behavior, rather than just stating that it has 'pros and cons'.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand' to signal shifts in the argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions feel forced. For example, the link between 'modern technology' and the previous sentences is weak. Additionally, the concluding paragraph is quite brief and does not effectively synthesize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on repetitive phrasing, such as 'well-known places' and 'create memories'. There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'people rely more on showoff' (should be 'showing off') and 'weather is it safe' (should be 'whether it is safe'). While the meaning is clear, the lack of more sophisticated or varied vocabulary limits the score. Incorporating more topic-specific collocations related to tourism, social media, and digital behavior would be beneficial.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'people are believing'), incorrect word forms (e.g., 'for just showoff their trip'), and missing articles or prepositions. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency and the correct use of 'whether' versus 'weather'.
