Student answer (Band 6.0)
Technology has been playing crucial role in our life. In recent years, more visitors are exploring famous places for the purpose of taking pictures of themselves, even they do not know about the place. This concern has significant reasons such as making memories and self-gratitude. In my perspective it is positive trend that I will talk in upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, most people want to make memories by taking pictures of popular places. To simplify it, pictures can remind the places they visit, which give them joy and they can renew the happiness and memories by looking at pictures. However, second positive reason could by vlogging. To explain it, masses can earn money by vlogging the place. Nowadays it is very trendy to upload pictures of various places and getting likes and comments from public. Furthermore, public can aware others by showing pictures. In other words, some beautiful and adventures places are hidden that people do not know about. By showing pictures people can aware others so their fellow mates can also enjoy that well-known place.
Despite having positive views, there are some negative views of this point. Taking just photographs of place can underrate the enjoy and excitement of trips. Masses cannot feel and enjoy the moment from the depth of heart.
To conclude it, this trend is positive in some ways for instance becoming memories, making vlogs and shooting beautiful sceneries and letting others know would be beneficial whilst taking photographs can reduce the feeling and emotions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons for the trend and whether it is positive or negative. However, the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention 'making memories' and 'vlogging', the explanation of why people ignore the actual place is limited. The position is clear, but the argument lacks depth and specific examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the psychological or social drivers behind this behavior, such as the 'fear of missing out' or the desire for social validation, rather than just listing reasons. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and could better synthesize the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is a logical progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'However', and 'In other words', which help the flow. However, some transitions are a bit mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'To simplify it' or 'To explain it', which do not always fit the context perfectly. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, for example, 'this point' in the third paragraph is vague. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help the essay read more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is somewhat repetitive and lacks sophistication. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'positive', and 'pictures'. There are some minor collocation issues, such as 'underrate the enjoy' (should be 'undermine the enjoyment') and 'public can aware others' (should be 'raise awareness'). To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to tourism, social media, and human behavior. You have a sufficient range to convey your meaning, but the lack of precision prevents a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include missing articles ('playing crucial role'), incorrect verb forms ('even they do not know'), and awkward phrasing ('that I will talk in upcoming paragraphs'). While these errors do not usually impede communication, they are persistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, the correct use of articles, and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed accurately. More attention to proofreading for basic grammatical slips would significantly improve the clarity of your writing.
